Abroad don’t leave life like Nigerians. They have good transportation systems sometimes they do not consider cars as a necessity plus the cost attached to owning a car like insurance etc .
The problem is too much bills and tax which most of us don’t pay here.

1. Might be security issues

2. Nothing stop his or her family from visiting him or her too

3. Most Nigerian families prefer you sending money than visiting them.

4. Once he or she takes care of his or her parents then I don’t see anything bad in it. Build them a house, put them on monthly allowance then other children and family members can visit them regularly.

Truth is that all schools abroad will accept u no mata d course as long u meet their requirements cox u bringing money to dem. Why studying, please try learn any gud tech skills from udemy nd co dat will issue u certificates. These will be of great advantage to u wen applying for jobs. Am a full stack developer and i work from home. Any I.T.skills dat pay u more dan 500k monthly is nt bad for a start.

It isn't all as was advertised to many of us prior to somewhat taking that 'shot in the dark.

My advice to anyone and everyone of our Brothers and Sisters who think there's some "pot of riches" in abroad ought to think again, due to the fact that when reality kicks in, reality will definitely kick in, and all those false narratives of the road painted in gold and people plucking wealth from the floor will indeed prove to be false and misleading.

My thing is, I wish everyone of my Brothers and Sisters on NL all the best wishes and hope everyone reaches their highest potential and all of that, however, the facts aren't debatable; it's way better and essential that we make OUR world a better place, there's simply no place on the planet that beats 'Home'.

The problem with many of us is that we swallow the rhetoric propagated by the first world media that their country is void of problems.

There is one constant in the world, irrespective of the country. We have the wealthy, the rich, the upper middle class, lower middle class, and the poor. Very few immigrants break it to the upper middle class, fewer to the wealthy and rich.

So back to your question people can't afford to visit their home countries because they have financial responsibilities that out weight the need to come home. Moreover, them coming home isn't beneficial to them because those at home just milk them dry.

some dont have papers and cant come home, some used asylum format where you claimed your life is a risk, so going back home raises highbrows and you may lose you papers. Canada for example recently passed it into law, they will start tracking asylum seekers who go home. Some are broke- after bills the average person abroad has 100 dols to minus 200 dols as balance. Where will u see money for flights costing over 1k dols easily. Unlike today that it is easy to travel legally it wasnt so 20 to 30 years ago. Some also came home and had bad experience ( robbery,kidnap, police wahala, accident etc) and vowed never to come back, So dont think it’s deliberate.

Hmm, I am not doubting u bro, just that 500k for a start is what raised my eyebrows.

Contrary to what anyone told us, it's "skills" ,"who one is" and "who one knows" and experience, that "pay the bills" in majority of these places abroad, oppossed to 'merit', as one would normally suppose.

Another piece of information that was convieniently omitted when they pitched travelling to me, perhaps the people who pitched this to me was themselves ignorant of these facts.

My advice to our Brothers and Sisters living abroad is to get into the habit of saving for a holiday, this way it will become affordable in the long.
