Oftentimes, as I pass by some markets in the early hours of the day, I see Christian worship organised outside some shops with most traders in attendance. The irony of it all is that, after such services, same traders would still go about either selling fake or adulterated products or selling essential commodities at exorbitant prices.

This act is ungodly and traders should desist from it. Making extraordinary gains in trade is known as usury in the Bible and it is considered sinful in the sight of God.

The highlighted is evil in the sight of God and man but selling at exorbitant prices is not evil, if you know a place where you can buy things cheaper go there.
If the government is not controlling the price of commodities in the market then each marketer must use discretion to meet up with business and day to day lives otherwise you'll run out of business when your gain is not enough to make a living in the midst of greedy people.
You can't sell your goods without considering what you will use the gains for. Let's say you're selling bread, your cost price is #60 for a loaf and you plan to sell for #62 to make #2 gain but others are selling at high cost then you'll end up loosing because your gain will not be enough to cater for your needs if not wants.
But deliberately selling fake or adulterated goods is like killing your neighbour who trusted you with his money believing he has gotten value for it!

I'm not encouring ungodly acts though, but doing ungodly things will not make you miss heaven either.

that's why i said i do not encourage ungodly acts. The old testament dispensation of chronicles and psalm still do apply in our today's physical life.
But for the spirit where heaven belongs, being ungodly does not apply, only faith do

Romans 4:1 What shall we say then that Abraham our father, as pertaining to the flesh(the physical life), hath found?
Romans 4:2 For if Abraham were justified by works(which includes being godly), he hath whereof to glory; but not before God.

The conclusion of the whole matter presented in Romans chapter 4 is that :


Romans 4:21 And being fully persuaded(having faith) that, what he had promised, he was able also to perform.
Romans 4:22 And therefore it was imputed to him for righteousness.

Meaning, mere having faith is the godliness, no other godliness approved by God who is a spirit

The truth is, heaven and faith falls into one category which is eternal life
godliness or works of the law, or being honest or any of the fruits of the spirit mentioned in Galatians 6, all falls into a different category different from faith or heaven.

Romans 3:28 Therefore we conclude that a man is justified by faith without the deeds of the law.

Mark the word WITHOUT.
which means, faith has nothing to do with the laws of this world just like Jesus says my kingdom(which requires faith to attend) is not of this world
