: Nigerian Students, NANS Rules Out Any Form Of Negotiation With ‘Insincere’ House Of Reps Speaker, Gbajabiamila

The National Association of Nigerian Students has said that its leadership isn’t interested in any meeting with the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Femi Gbajabiamila.
Gbajabiamila had in a letter signed by the Clerk of the House of Representatives, Yahaya Danzarta, and addressed to the President of university lecturers association, Emmanuel Osodeke, expressed his concern over the failed negotiations between the Federal Government and the union, asking to meet with the union on Tuesday.
However, NANS spokesperson, Giwa Yisa Temitope in a statement said the association had no reason to hold any meeting with an “insincere character like Gbajabiamila, who, despite the fact that students had been at home for seven months left the country to enrol in academic studies in a foreign country.”
It urged the Nigerian government to resolve the lingering crisis in the educational sector within seven days and return Nigerian students back to our campuses.
