Kudos to the police man, he was professional enough. In fact, the guys family should go and thank him for saving the guy's life. First the police man was the one trying to avoid the bad situation by withdrawing from the guy but the idiot charged further towards the police man, secondly, some police men would have attempted to know what was going on in the guy's head or his heart by giving him the bullet in either of those two areas but this professional police man choose the leg. The objective here is just to stop him from coming further and it was achieved professionally.
