I have a friend that finished school last year and due to age factor.
He couldn't go for service.
He decided to go to ph in search of a better life with the hope of getting a job.
After one month in PH,
No job,
Depression came in.
He decided to start drinking and womanising.
He spent all the money with the hope of overcoming depression
This my friend is 35 years and is back to village.
He has lost his sense of reasoning and he can't think straight.
I just feel pity for him.

Mind your business

That's not the point.

The point is that a 35 years old who should have learnt from his struggles in life is still stupid enough to squander one a million naira in less than 3 months on women and drinks because he couldn't get a job a month after graduation.

Business? 1m is sufficient for a small scale business.

That's the reason I pointed out his age.

If dats d point, den finishing school at d age of 35 shouldn't have come in.

Without being told, u should know dat someone who finishes 1.2m within 3'months needs serious attention.... Certainly sth isn't right. He was depressed! And someone in d state could grapple for anything, even go d way of taking their lives...how much more careless spending of money? He's just like a drowning man. He isn't stupid, he needs help! H

You can serve aged 35 provided you were less than 30 years when you graduated.

And what will keep one not to serve 5 years after graduation ?

Delay by tertiary institution, hustle/work restrictions, travel etc Even people in their 40s are mobilised.

Without forging your age or health challenges I don't think the NYSC will issue you an exception certificate if they know you were below 30 at the time of graduation.
