Nigeria can never have a true census as far as population affects resource allocation and political power, no matter what biometrics or technology applied. Restructure the country and let every state/region control its resources and see the magic of population deflation. 1 Like |

Perfectbeing: You are totally wrong. If what you wrote was true, there wouldn't be need for planning to spend billions to conduct a census because they can make NIN mandatory and seamlessly count us. It's even funny that there's no room for tribe and religion in the census. Nigeria is run by old folks who cannot think - no thanks to idiots and bigots who keep voting for them. 1 Like |

fiizznation: Stop being stupid and address the issue. Jigawa was carved out of Kano state with 27 local governments, while Kano was jacked up to 44local governments, whereas before the creation of Jigawa the population of Lagos and Kano were said to be similar. How on earth can Kano and Jigawa have double the population of Lagos state in less than 20 years? You northerners are so cunny and dubious, that is why the only solution to Nigeria's growth will be the outright dissolution of this failed country or a total restructuring with the regional government. No wonder you always piss in your pants each time restructuring is mentioned 1 Like |

2elliot: In reality, there is no effective ways of separating citizens of Niger Republic ,Tchad and Northern Cameroon from Nigerians. These countries are more or less 37th,39th and 40th States of Nigeria. I have lived and worked in the North and I know that so many people from these countries move in and out of Nigeria. Some have even joined our Armed Forces. |

Perfectbeing: Even with the clue from the person you quoted you still remain clueless, ignorant and silly. Why is it difficult for you to factor that he was referring to the manipulation of censor figure to benefit a particular people at the expense of Nigeria, or do you expect OBJ a grandmaster of diplomatic words will come out openly in his book and say that Atiku uses his position as VP to jack up the population of the north. To what benefit will that statement be when his intention was to expose Atiku's criminal act and not to castigate the entire north for what one of their criminal son has done 1 Like |

Felimax: Speak of what you know and stop embarrassing yourself. The problem with most of you online analyst is that you take online information that are mostly inaccurate just like you have been dishing out here without empirical prove to back your warped argument. Lagos being small in land mass doesn't mean it's small in population including the indigenous people of Lagos state. For record go and do your research so you'll know Lagos indigene is made of 3tribes. Apart from the early Yoruba settlers and foreigners that swell the population of Lagos state right from inception. This is entirely different from population of other Nigerians that troop into Lagos every minutes. With or without people coming to Lagos from other states, Lagos has it's huge indigenous population even larger than many indigenous population from many other states 1 Like |

Ttalk: Hmmm! What a daft! So you mean to say aside the strangers in Lagos indigenous people will make up to 22 million? Are you for real or you are on weed? Why not dispute my submissions with evidence of proof rather than coming here to insult your generation? In your mind you think the whole Nigeria is compressed in your tiny state! Mr Daftinone! |
Re: Are There More People In The North Than In The South? by Felimax(m): 10:02am On Sep 29, 2022 |
oyatz: Reality! Same way you have strangers and foriegners scattered all over lagos. In the estate where i was in lagos there is hardly maybe just one yoruba tenant the rest of us are strangers likewise almost the entire area. Very few Yoruba people or Lagos indigenes around. Real fact. During Christmas i hate been in Lagos because it will seem as if almost everybody is gone. Make public holiday reach if you have not observe the exodus movement out of Lagos you have not stayed in Lagos. Real fact! |

Felimax: You are the one that is daft and stupid at the same time if you can't comprehend my explanation that Lagos has it's indigenous people from 3 tribes and equally has early Yoruba settlers as well as returnee from abroad and foreigners as EARLY settlers. That's on it's own is a huge population higher than many states during those period. Where did I mentioned from my post that the indigenous people of Lagos is up to 22m. Abeg, am not here for all these your useless analysis with no factual or empirical prove other than the usual online gossip that your type is used to |

Felimax: Let's start from your state. Give me record of the followings: Numbers villages Numbers of Town Numbers of cities and urban centres Numbers of Obas Population of your state in 1960 State when you state was created and her population when it was created. Half baked education is as good as not having education at all. I will educate and broaden your knowledge about Nigeria history so you will stop embarrassing yourself on social media. Please engage me like a mature person and stop sounding silly if you want us to have a constructive argument. 1 Like |

You want me to engage you like a matured person when in reality you are nothing but a clown. Leave tramadol alone you say No. Na your mate? You that is so educated is equating indigenous people of Lagos to the overall Lagos population. You see weting education do you? Daftinone! |
Re: Are There More People In The North Than In The South? by Ttalk: 10:47am On Sep 29, 2022 |
Felimax: While I await your response to my question, Lagos population was 762,000 while Enugu was just 93,000. That was a pre independence report that indicates Lagos state has huge population before independence, before the influx of people outside the region into the state to tap from it's wealth. This was a period when Nigeria has not tapped into oil wealth and there were no bridges and FG infrastructure that attracts people from other parts of the region into Lagos. I don't want to derail the argument just the way you are throwing banters like a child that his sweet is taken away from him |

VeeVeeMyLuv: Unfortunately you might be right. 2 years ago when i was in the Eastern part of this country doing phone business, I discovered mist of the fulanis had a SIM card of Chad or Niger Republic. We all see them as fulanis but no 1 really cared to know about their origin. Note: I was closer to them because I helped them fix phones and the likes. Each time they tell me they wanna travel, their Nigerian lines stopped working. As soon as I see them again, the number start going. When I asked them why, they give me a flimsy excuse till when I discovered the SIM in their phone not Nigerian SIM. We are being cheated by the northerners in the is country alot. 1 Like |

Felimax: I've not even started, I want to prove your foolishness and stupidity before addressing your irritating juvenile delinquency. The point that I want you to sink into your dull brain is to accept Lagos has always had a huge population irrespective of its small landmass of which the indigenous people make up a large number of the total population. The indigenous population of Lagos can be compared to other states with similar huge populations that have benefitted from state creation. Example of such state is Kano and Jigawa state. Another factor you don't know is the RATE of population growth since 1960, while Lagos is growing at an average of 3% we have other states that were growing as high as 6% yet the net growth of Lagos is higher than any other state in Nigeria. That is a prove that Lagos state has always had a huge population since its inception. It equally proves that the influx of people from the different region only swell the existing population of the state and doesn't remove the indigenous population factor. Being small in landmass doesn't translate to small inhabitants in a coastal terrain like Lagos state 1 Like |
