I know it will boil down to this: tribalism.
You might want to paint Obi an Igbo president. True, he is Igbo by tribe. But Obi is not running as an Igbo slot. If Igbos are supporting him, it's a plus since a man who has no followership in his immediate family is incapable of leading an entire community.
At the same time, it isn't true that all his supporters are Igbos. The Afenifere leaders who endorsed him a few days back, are they Igbos?
Obi is a moving train. Only God can stop him. But as it stands, God does not lie.
