Longing for home

We often long for our home, when we face stress and danger.

It was same for the prodigal son, who left his family for a better life. But he later realized that his life became bitter and not better.

He remembered his sweet home, and started longing for love, care and security of his
family. He left the pigsty and returned to the loving arms of his father.

The daddy, quickly organized a welcome party for his dear son, in gratitude to God for rescuing his son from suffering and shame.

Today many young people are passionate about travelling to faraway lands in search of greener pastures. Many make hasty and dangerous decisions, that sometimes destroy their lives.

Others actually may survive the long and tortuous journey from their homes. But they always remember the safety and security of their homesteads.

Similarly, heaven is the home of believers. Hell is the final destination of the enemies of God and Jesus Christ.

As Christians, we should always bear in our hearts, a beautiful image of our heavenly mansion.

This is a faith action that helps us to overcome the pain and penury of life.

The bible is replete with many verses about this beautiful land for saints.

These scriptures should comfort us, especially, when confronted and tormented by vicissitudes of this bruised and broken world.
