STOP THE COMPARISON
They are whites, we are blacks
They vote competence, we vote alongside ethnic, religious and party lines
They are patriotic, we don’t even understand the basic concept of patriotism
They are whites, we are blacks

So just because we are black, does this mean that we cannot learn to broaden our vision?. We should remove the boundaries from our mind.
We have the capacity to rise above ethnic, religious and party lines and help those in need anywhere in Nigeria

Sadly enough, they hardly go after commercial drivers, except in very few areas. It's usually private cars they like to target.

Apart from the fact that Lastma and VIO officials like to exploit people, the NURTW guys are the ones controlling the roads now, take it or leave it.

Yes, nobody knows this but it is on, it happened twice at Orile bustop and no one said anything

Every society law enforcement is proportional to d class of the crime and those that commits it.
That civilized police is in an attempt to arrest a civilized suspect.
They both are civilized

But in Nigeria if d police start to act civilized then it's either his head leaves his neck or something serious happens to him.
So it's goats for goats and human for human.

They need your vehicle license plate which is linked to an address. There's no reason to chase people when you can clearly identify where they reside as per an electronic database.

When you walk into most government offices in Nigeria they insist on using pen and paper - for wetin? What year is this?
Re: Vehicle Offence In UK And Nigeria, LASTMA Example (pics) by Burgerlomo: 2:08pm On Oct 07, 2022
The same thing in the US all they need is your license plate number or the temporary tag number

They do this in Lagos already.

Cameras near traffic lights catch them now.

At this stage, there is no reason why every road should not have speed camera; why every street should not have surveillance camera; why every establishment should not have surveillance camera.

These guys do not need to be on the road. Look at the one in the picture abusing his power by assaulting a tax-payer for no reason. Fines are there for a reason. All you will see is either a sticker on your window or a message on your cellphone. You cannot argue with anyone. If you want proof, they will show you the image. You either pay or lose your driving privileges.

Tinubu, who is worth $32b had the ultimate resources and power to build a world class hospital that dwarfs the Herts hospital in the UK. He prefers to go waste our money there. Hospital bills cover cost of utility bill, staff salaries, accommodation etc. Our doctors and professors are suiciding because of penury. A man with leaking bladder wants to rule a country will a bleeding soul.

Nigerians in Lokoja have no roads. They are not close to the ocean, just a river flooding has engulfed the state. The President said nothing about it. The presidential runners say nothing about it. But they need the votes of these victims. Lokoja looks like a mud slide.

This is a prime example of being off point.

Nothing this fellow says makes any sense when you read the OP.

It is a senseless response

Which means he is likely an APC urchin because they never make sense

I think there's one thing people don't understand, which is; life is not a binary system. A solution might work in a situation and do woefully in another. Look at the pictures you posted, one was not dragging with the officer, but the other was attempting to escape, in which case, the officer has the right to arrest him.
This mentality of government officials are always wrong is bad, why una no blame the driver for attempting to escape?

In abroad, no need for fighting or towing vehicles. All they need is to get your car number. But here in Nigeria, especially Lagos and Abuja...

Here we are on "Jungle mode" on Lagos Roads, so many lunatic danfo drivers and mad men in suits and ties driving expensive cars.

So don't blame the government and her officials for going jungle mode and employing jungle tactics too.

There is no basis for the comparison.

I wonder where you are from!!!Y

You're an endangered species if you walk or ply Nigerian roads without eyes on every part of your body.

Its like the vehicles, Okada, tricycles, trucks are all there to disobey simple traffic laws......

It’s worse here. Only difference is they have automated it. In the long term there will be more gnashing of teeth

When ur pulled over during a road block , try to refuse to blow into the breathalyzer. You will know that police can Bleep you up too

The truth is that there is no record management in Nigeria.

The car registration number and homeowner addresses are not linked to a central database system. In the UK only registered drivers can drive your car. It took the UK government more than 10 years to build GOV.UK which unified multiple departments.
Re: Vehicle Offence In UK And Nigeria, LASTMA Example (pics) by Enyimbamercedes: 4:04pm On Oct 07, 2022
It is quite simply to implement this here but will we. Granted we do not have a database that allows a ticket to be issued and posted to your registered address but an offending drivers license plate can be noted for any infraction. When you go to VIO for renewal of your particulars, you'll have to pay all the fines before you get your renewed vehicle papers.

funny stuff, really! cheesy What do you expect, ours is a dysfunctional transportation system and our officials just like to get dramatic as that's what they think the drivers understand better.
