I still find it hard to believe how shallow and ignorant most people on NL are.  . Just so you should know. I am an engr in one of the leading telecoms sevice providers in Nigeria. I have a lot of friends that deal in wholesale and retail of phones. I give people support once in a while on cell phone related issues. I love gadgets so I buy the latest products as they come out most times. I know a lot of above average people in Nigeria and all of them won't touch chinko phones with a 10mile pole. So coming out to say my friends use chinko phones only says a lot about how unexposed you are.
Yes, I repeat, Nigerians use CHINKO phones more than any other product. You can go to computer village to carry out a survey. In less than 4hrs you will be convinced, Mr MY FRIENDS USE IPHONES( Such a shallow mind).

Nokia (havent seen any family of 4 and above that has nobody amongst them using a nokia phone)
China (havnt seen a trader who has 2lines and doesnt have a chinko)
Blackberry (I dnt have one but folks use it as a status symbol and since we love to show off, most 'i'm a big boy/girl' have it.
Iphones hmmm I dnt think its as popular as LG and Samsung

On the emboldened. I cant agree more with you. In my opinion, i thinks its a very close call between Chinko and Nokia and it all boils down to affordability. You will see a chinco phone with dual sim, mp4 player, internet browser and some other crazy effizy selling for say 12k. what then does anyone expect?

Nokia on the other hand has got affordable phones  with 4k you can actually own a nokia fone.
