You people are very funny. You said Obi invested Anambra state money in his family business

When I ask how German Brewery company, Sabmiller, where Obi invested the money, is Obi's family business, they start talking trash about shares

I own shares in NESTLE, does that make NESTLE my family business?

It doesn't make NESTLE your family business. It makes you a stakeholder in NESTLE and putting public money there in your official capacity presents a conflict of interest and that can send you to jail.

According to Obi supporters, even if obi rapes their mothers and sisters, they will still vote for him. Those people are condemned to eternal damnation, they can't be saved

Sharap you criminal.

Intafact through which SABMiller came into the Nigerian market was privately owned and Obi was a large shareholder in it using the company NEXT.

SABMiller then went public which of course gives OBI/NEXT more money because with vestments you gain more when you go public.

Only a dunce takes your likes seriously.

it's a Nigerian company listed on NSE, you think we're all daft like you guys? Why not convert the cash to dollars at the rate the investment was made in his stint as governor and today's dollar rate too, then add all the dividends accrued to the state from that time till now.. we're not financial illiterate like you bigots..the company earns in naira not dollars..

$12,240,000 * 180 = N2,203,200,000

$5,380,000 * 720 = N3,873,600,000

U r quite brainless. What more can be expected from a zombie?
You didn't quantify the fact that N3,873,600,000 of today can't buy what N2,203,200,000 could buy as at the year Obi made that investment. I am sorry for your lineage. They will be dumb as furck

You people lie and even confirm your lies. Is Sabmiller, where Obi put Anambra state money, Obi's family business? Thats the simple question nobody needs to dance around.

Then tell that to the person who started this thread, that wants the world to believe that SABmiller is Obi's family business

Had Obi wanted to, he could have easily stashed the money offshore and nobody would be talking about this today. He invested the money in a viable business that has provided employment to many and everyone knows where he put the money. So Im not going to bother myself about conflict of interest here

You see this criminal?

SABMiller is Obi's family business because SABMiller came into the breweries business in Nigeria through Intafact which Obi's NEXT has a large ownership of.

The company going public doesn't change this criminal act.

It is OK to invest public funds in any publicly traded entity, but not an entity where you or your family are shareholders, doing so is called conflict of interest.

Obi said he's a shareholder, meaning he's a part owner of the company, not just his family.

Even with my own 1 kobo invested in that company, it means I'm a shareholder and a part owner of the company. The shareholders are the owners of the company, Obi practically invested public funds in his own company, and he benefited from the public funds he invested in that company.

This is simple like ABC, I don't know why this must be explained to you like a baby.

Another think I find very dubious and unpatriotic about this man is the fact that he's also an unpatriotic pan, a common tax cheat and tax dodger.

The crook shipped billions out of Nigeria to a secret foreign ban account to hide for himself and his family, just imagine if we all ship our money abroad to hide, what will happen to Nigeria? It means less money in form of collected taxes to pay for roads, bridges, hospitals, government programs and services, it means less money in the Nigerian economy and the banking system.

The money he's hiding abroad is being used to develop other countries, not his own country or his own anambra in Nigeria. That money could create jobs, build factories and industries to develop Nigeria.

..but this crook, a tax cheat, a law breaker and an unpatriotic man wants to rule Nigeria, you only see this kind of rubbish and absurdities in Nigeria.

The narrative being peddled is that Peter Obi invested Anambra state money in a business owned by his family

Thats a completely different thing from investing Anambra state money in a public company that anyone can own shares in

As for conflict of interest, they way I see it is that if Obi had wanted, he could easily have stashed the money offshore and nobody would be talking about this today

But if he invested the money in a viable business that has created employment, and everyone knows where the money is, I wont bother my head too much about conflict of interest

A shareholder is a person, company, or institution that owns at least one share of a company's stock or in a mutual fund. Shareholders essentially own the company, which comes with certain rights and responsibilities. This type of ownership allows them to reap the benefits of a business's success.

1. Investing public funds in the beer company means a business owned by his family because shareholders are owners of the companies they invest in.

2. Peter Obi admitted that he's a shareholder, so, he's also a part owner of the company and also pockets the benefits.

Do you understand now?
