You are going off point. Yes the president may have the power to vet the list of awardee but cannot just give any person that award there’s must be a measure accomplishment. If it were he’s own award he may choose to give award to evans and nobody would care or take it back in future.

I watched the said video again and again to see exactly where and how Teni disrespected or walkout on the President..

Her name was called... characteristically walk to the podium...held her award together with the President...took a photograph with him and she was all smiles...and left afterwards...

I didn't see President Buhari stretched out his hands for handshake..not to talk about Teni snubbing the hand and leaving it hanging...That would have been the disrespectful act people are talking about....but it doesn't exist in the video.

I dont see any wrong in Teni...
I watched it. It wasn't intentional. The stage wasn't her usual stage. She could've developed stage fright. She tried to find succour in Buhari's facial expression but it wasn't there cuz Mr President doesn't have the slightest idea of whom she was. Imagine if the case was reversed and VP Yemi Osinbajo was presenting , he would've gone ahead to tease her "Teni Makanaki" upon receiving the award.

I have seen and heard of professional artists getting frightened on stage hence they find solace in booze or hard drugs, Teni couldn't have done any of these knowing fully she's meeting with the President.

The picture pose was a confirmation she didnt intend to snub the president, infact she celebrated the award with a bottle of champagne.

I have looked at the video critically and I noticed she looked and thanked Mr President too.
