The country or its people?,
Great is our country nigeria,
With lots of hope and enkindled fire,
Low thoughts beclouding its people's aspirations,
Individuality bringing down a great nation,
conventionality the way to make our dreams fulfilled.

A great nation,
Nigeria our country,
Blessed with so much resources,
the greatest blessing and asset of a nation,
harnessed poorly by humans,
humans the greatest will to achieve.

A great nation,
individuality gainig stregth over unity,
a tree in a forest,
what makes it a forest?,
many trees in the forest,
forest overshadowing and sheltering animals,
what a magical unification of trees,
how powerful it is , hiding many animals,
giving them protection and survival.

Why then the selfishness,
The backbone of failure,
which joy when another suffers,
conscience, oh conscience, were thou at,
the greatest instinct to happiness,
Selflessness, the richness of our nation
