You keep saying Peter Obi ran away from engaging Atiku in the primaries just like tinubu engaged his own people to become the party flag bearer yet deliberately leave out the part of tinubu and Atiku bribing delegates with as much as $50,000 each just to get their votes?

Why are you so hell bent on deceiving yourself like this? Or you think all of us here don’t know about the delegates and dollars rains during APC and pdp’s primaries?

Stop deceiving yourself with what me and you can never prove. Proper adults don't deal in conjectures and hearsay.

You were there when Atiku and Tinubu were handing out $50,000 ba? You should be ashamed of yourself asking us to form opinion on speculation, hearsay and gossip.

What is confirmed is that Tinubu and Atiku stood their ground and contested like men. So did Wike, Tambuwal and Anyim.

Ditto Osinbajo, Amaechi, Fayemi, Yaya Bello etal. It was only Obi who fled entirely because he is a coward and duplicitous character.

That is the fact we must deal with not your market women gossip about candidates bribing delegates with Lekki mansions and 15 virgins.

I also think that the government should release Kanu. He seems to be the only one the people are ready to listen to. And yes, Obi is the right person considering he's an Igbo and understands what the agitation is about. He has also said he's going to negotiate with IPOB, that's a good idea.
Don't delude yourself. That is why dem tell u say make no start watin u no fit Finnish. With thousands of weapons in the hands of criminals and no job I think the east is in for a long ride except the people come together with one mind and stop it..

You're daft in your illusion. Are the thousands of weapons in the hands of herdsmen killing only northerners? Is ISWAP and Fulani militia not kidnapping and killing people in MB and SW? Your foolishness as Nigerians is in the belief that some imaginary boundaries exist to limit the killings in one region. BH started killing in NE. Today all Nigeria is a killing field so it MUST get to wherever you are unless something is done about it. That's why if you people have sense, you start by electing leaders with sense. The bullet kills according to fate.

You won't know the impact of the agitation against marginalization of the Igbo until you visit the East. I was somewhere in the town where I grew up and the first thing I noticed was that the police station in the area no longer exists. Learnt it was taken out by UGM. One of our neighbors, a lady that owned a shop about a kilometer from the station died from stray bullet the same day the station was burnt down.

I left the city for the village and one family at the village told me that a policeman, a native of the village has been missing for 6 months plus. What's weird is that no one knows his whereabout, not even the police. All they know is that he was assigned to an escort duty to a VIP and the man just disappeared. Another police officer that lives in the village, Yoruba man is dead. His own case is even better than the other since his family saw a body.

Also, the closest police station to my home in the village has been burnt down. When they were narrating the story to me, i actually thought they were talking about a filling station close by before I remembered that the UGM phenomenon is all across the Igbo nation.

It's obvious that what's happening in the East is either terror or asymmetrical warfare, systematically eliminating security agents. I've been wondering why the government cannot work on negotiating a settlement. Who knows how many policemen, soldiers and non-combatants have been killed. It's just a matter of time for people to become scared of joining any of these and the East becomes a wild West.

With BH in NE, UGM in the SE, armed militants in the SS, bandits in the NW and ISWAP in NE and SW, the country may be sitting on a keg of gunpowder.

So far, only Anambra has made a paltry fdi inflow, the rest of Igbo states got zilch fdi so that is their own business; ruin their own land because their parents failed to train them .

The problem is that there is japa of Igbo into Yorubaland. This year so far, I know about 6 Igbo who have moved over to Lagos to start life.

We keep accommodating our Igbo brethren but this accommodation is temporary measure because these Igbo we host keep going back home to bring more of their kith and kin to escape violence and poverty in Igboland and if this influx is not monitored may put Yorubaland in serious security risks like we experienced when igbos sympatjetic to ipob terrorist group burnt our city in 2020.

SW states must take the state registration card more serious like we are doing in Lagos.
Everyone especially outsiders fleeing to the SW must be documented and monitored. Only well trained and talented Igbo fleeing Igboland should be encouraged to settle in Yorubaland before we bring in the dregs and those Asari Dokubo blamed for rendering Igboland desolate and barren.

Igboland is not barren, it is the future of Nigeria

ISWAP was born in lake Chad region but it's now in Yorubaland. I understand that your hatred for Igbo won't let you see that there is no way you'd be safe with crises in the East. Even you could catch a bullet down the line.

And we are defending ourselves against it. If ISWAP was spread in the SW like IPOB in the SE, your people will not be trooping to there in hundreds daily in search for survival. If your people bring your IPOB madness to the SW, believe me this won't be like Endsars where we let Emeka burn BRT Buses, the hospitality will be withdrawn. Like the Sarkin Fulani family of the town in Oyo was sacked the chestbeaters will receive the same treatment. Biafra is not our problem, keep it in your region while it makes there desolate. The bullet you wish for me will pass through all your family members and won't come to me. Child of hate.

I agree with your submission about Tinubu and his ability to dig in and solve stubborn problems. Non of the other candidates comes close to be honest.

However, fate may have decided the elections for us already because Tinubu appears to be very ill, and therefore not fit to lead Nigeria tbh.

We are left with either Obi or Atiku or Kwankwaso. Let’s just hope whoever emerges manages to come up with what it takes to lead Nigeria favorably, and without complaining that there’s no money throughout the tenure.

candidtalk:

This is beyond Obi the coward. He fled PDP. Tinubu stood his ground and won the APC ticket because even the kinsmen of Buhari recognise the power and influence of Tinubu and his ethnic group.

Only Tinubu, because of his political sagacity and formidable support base, can implement the fundamental changes Nigeria needs to become a progressive and successful nation.

Pointing out that Nigeria is unfair does not make you clever. We all know that.

Yet, what smart folks should focus on is a leader, specifically from the South, that is powerful and authoritative enough to make Nigeria more fair for us all.

If you are not dishonest you will admit to yourself that this is not Obi.

Only Tinubu ticks all the boxes but you IPOBians are so consumed with hate for Yorubas you cannot even see that this is a time you should support Jagaban, for your own benefit., rather than Obi who would be a powerless puppet 100%.
You are nothing but a mere pathological liar. Stop lying and deceiving yourself thinking you are winning souls for Tinubu. If Tinubu is going to represent the south well, why is it that OPC and afenifere which are of yoruba stock against him?

Really?

What of the videos showing indigenes hailing and praising the UGM/ESN while they confronted and made the military withdraw on the streets?

If Igbos continue to blame others, thereby giving tacit support to insurgents and avoiding to take responsibility for all that is happening in the southeast, the region may become like the northeast or northwest.

I just hope all this happenings would become a thing of the past soonest, The once peaceful East is now in Turmoil.

Igbo is barren land, yet you'd die than see Igbo exit Nigeria. Isn't because you are the leech, a parasite living off Igbo? I know how your people beg Igbo just to get the Igbo money in Lagos not to talk of rural Yoruba states. Take back seat. Ipob started it... They should end it!

When these started, we warned... But some of you told us to mind our business, that East was still more peaceful than North!

Since you are in competition with the North to see who gets Buhari's attention through terrorism, we just have to sit back and allow you enjoy your "competition"!

You seriously can't set your house on fire, and come crying that you have been left unassisted to put the fire out!

Y'all spent almost a year blaming these atrocities on foreigners... If Soludo had not come forth to debunk your stupid lies, I doubt many of you including Op would have accepted...

Well, y'all must now join hands, and put your houses or region in order while there is yet hope for salvation!

This should be a lesson to other regions! Rebuke your sons and daughters who wake up in another region or even country to stoke the embers of war in your towns!

Where are all the war-mongers amongst you?!! All gone quiet, living peaceful lives far from the SouthEast! SMH!

Kanu is facing criminal charges and the court can release him. Btw, if they decide to withdraw the criminal charges and release kanu, his life is also at risk from the families of soldiers, police and other security officials killed by ipob/esn at his instigation, who would want to avenge the murder of their loved ones. Anyone saying Kanu is a peaceful agitator should go to online platforms and listen to how he was preaching war and violence against "the zoo", even soliciting for arms. He backed up his war threats by setting up and clandestinely arming
what he called biafra intelligence. He was doing this openly, before Buhari's boys woke up. Anyone thinking Buhari will allow a high profile terrorist to just walk away scot-free is daydreaming. No president will do that. Even if Peter Obi were to be president today, he won't let off a dangerous fiend without imposing stringent conditions. In fact, somebody like Wike would just take him out without much ado.
