THE VANITY OF BODILY BEAUTY.
The rate at which people, especially young girls idolize their body these days is becoming worrisome. Many of them are as unstable as water because of the excessive attention they pay to their body. In school, they cannot settle down to study. In business environment where they are learning one skill or the other, they are lost in self admiration. In offices where they work, their dream is to be a cynosure - the center of attraction. Often times, they engage in very mundane discussions such as, which girl has the biggest and wobbly butt in the neighborhood, which girl has the most glowing skin etc.

Competition among young girls in terms of outdoing each other when it comes to looking good is very tense. No girl wants to be left behind in the frenzy of beauteousness. This madness has made many, including those without means to get fake silicone buttocks, hips and breasts. Because of the desperation to look more attractive, many girls have gone into prostitution. Others have aligned with criminal gangs and, like a tick ended in the bowel of the egret.

In the social media space, these girls show so much fondness for their physical appearance. The latest is passing of titillating messages through their pictures. If they don't put their breasts on display, it is s their buttocks. Two days ago, a girl posted on her story (Fb), the video of her buttocks shaking in a tight hugging pant. No doubt, the intention of such salacious video is to attract members of the opposite sex. But I wondered to myself, "in few years from now, what will become the fate of such iniquitous instrument (the buttocks)?" Obviously, it will fall out of alignment and will no longer be able to hold its captive ( the man it had captured). Soon it will wear out and become an eyesore - the scary old woman in the corner of the street used to be a paragon of beauty in her days.

Physical beauty is like a mirage, an illusion - it is ungraspable. Young people especially, young girls should learn to pay less attention to bodily beauty and focus on building mental or intellectual (beauty) capacity because, it is not transient like bodily beauty, it stays with you for the rest of your life. Be wise!
