You guys know nothing about Child development. That his son can not pick interest in his fathers business show that Obi fail to open his eye to family business when the lad was young. Falz is an artist and a Law student because his father is into legal business.

If everyone had followed in their fathers footsteps then we'll all be farmers and animal rearers and there will not be scientist, musicians, lawyers etc.

So u mean tinubu has opened all his children's eyes on how to loot the treasury of Lagos state (family business)?

Otedola allowed DJ Cuppy to become a DJ is that failed parenting?

I read online where Obi's supporter are hailing their candidate for allowing his son to pursue his passion in acting abroad. I see this as an example of failed parental influence. How could a billionaire businessman failed to lead his son in the same path he'd followed. Except I missed it, i have read online that he Obi inherited fortune from his own parent but why did he want to change the standard?
I have nothing against his son but the hard-hearted-father.

The path to success for Alexander the Great was laid down by his father Philip of Macedonia, Xerxes the King of Kings becomes great because Darius 1 hand over a prosperous kingdom to him. The Biblical Isaac become great and wealthy because Abraham his father amassed much wealth and hand it over to him. These are few old examples. In recent years.

#Funfact: United States went to war with Iraq two times and each of this war Father and Son were the POTUS.
=> George Bush [Father] was a two times VP 1981-1989 and a single term President 1989–1993
=> George W. Bush [Son] was also a two term President 2001–2009
If you look at the record above you will see that both father and son were at the helm of US government affair for 20 years. The success of the George W. Bush [Son] cannot be unconnected with the influence of the father.

Aliko Dangote, inherited business and entrepreneurial skill from his father, to he is the richest man in Africa. Looking at the structure of Globalcom Nigeria, you will find Wale Adenuga's children in the hierarchy of leadership. The is called grooming.

For Obi to abandon his son in US like Almajiri show that he is not among the caliber of "Best Dad".
All of you praising Obi don't really know what it means to have a father as a billionaire businessman but be living like Almajiri in US.

FYI: Almajiri is not a beggar, but someone who left or sent from home to foreign land to study and to fend for himself.

Obi's billions of NAIRA is safely parked inside his secret foreign Pandora account, tax-free and well-hidden for his wife and children.

Obi's wife is detached from the campaign, unlike the wives of the other candidates who are on the ground working and campaigning for their husbands.

Obi's children are safely parked abroad, far far away from Nigeria and the youths he's using in vain, his children are sipping champagne abroad, they work abroad, live abroad, and pay taxes abroad with zero connection, benefit, or worth to Nigeria.

The children of the other candidates are on the ground in Nigeria with Nigerian youths, working and helping their parents, they live in Nigeria, work in Nigeria, pay taxes and their daily realities are 100% Nigerian.

The absolute fact is, Obi and his family have little or no connection with Nigeria, his wealth is not in Nigeria, and can not contribute or invest his money in Nigeria, the unpatriotic man is not even paying taxes on his billions, his wife can not be bothered with the election something so important for every Nigerian, but his wife and children don't give a damn and they are not even hiding it.

Obi and his family are practically semi Nigerians, they have zero skin in Nigeria.

That clown can not rule Nigeria.

The above is a classical example of one who writes without thinking. Obi's sons path in life must not be that of his father, we are all different. If Obi's sons passion is acting, why would you want Obi to change that? Obi's job is to train his son to adulthood, and allow his son find his own way, its his son's life, not Obi's life. Obi is not interested in building a dynasty like Adenuga and Dangote. If acting is what makes his son happy, Obi will support his son all the way as a good parent should

Obiano his successor isn't Campaigning

Obi if at all becomes the president, is going to be presiding over the FEC which includes 36 governors and ministers, past president, hundreds of MDAs. If he does not have the charisma to influence his own son whom he had lived with for many years, how is he going influence these people's decisions or what makes him different from Buhari.

Why do you think you it is hard for people to find a lasting legacy of Obi in Anambra state? Simple answer, he is not a leader (maybe an occupier or opportunistic politician).

Nigeria matter is not a case of rocket engineering. Nigeria does not need another story telling Leader but an action leader.

In parenting, one should be careful to draw the thin line between imposing their own ambition and guiding the kids to realize their own destiny. It's totally a different thing when leading a team or in a position of leadership.
I can tell you for free, if you force your kids abroad here, and you get reported to the authority, you can be jailed for it. It's a very sensitive issue. You see why we have lots of toxic adults with poor parenting because parenting was managed like offices. Emotional intelligence is a necessity for proper children's upbringing. I can't force my kids to be a business man/woman if that spills against their ambitions. We can disuss and debate but I will listen and respect their opinions when they are not going the wrong way.
