Group Tasks Prof Greg Ibe To Unveil His Health Status To Abians

A group under the aegis of Concerned members of the All Progressive Grand Alliance has called on Prof Greg Ibe the Governorship candidate of the APGA to break the silence and declare his whereabouts and health status as the build-up to the activities leading to who becomes the next governor of the state builds up.

In a statement made public by the group and signed by Comrade Ndubuisi Nwankwo, the group expressed deep concern that candidates of other political parties have been appearing publicly and consulting with stakeholders and holding political meetings with interest groups and other electorates but Prof Ibe has been suspiciously silent and has not been seen anywhere in Abia or in any public event recently thereby making the rumour that he was recently flown abroad in an AIR AMBULANCE as a result of a life-threatening ailment sound like the truth.

The group challenged Prof Greg Ibe to unveil his true health condition to the Independent National Electoral Commission, his followers, and the Abia electorates to enable the electoral umpire to make a meaningful decision on his continuing in the race, they insisted that APGA, though a strong party cannot win the 2023 governorship election if we go ahead to field an unhealthy candidate who will be running in and out of hospitals for treatment abroad while withholding the truth about his true health status, they urged him to in the interest of the party and Abians to please step aside and allow Sir Chikwe Udensi, who is healthy the opportunity to fly the flag of the party in the 2023 governorship election.

The office of the Governor is a serious office that will determine the future of millions of Abians, we should not allow somebody that is not medically fit to occupy such an office and mess all of us up.

We are therefore calling on Prof Greg Ibe, to as a matter of urgency convene a press conference and declare to Abians his health status if truly he was not flown abroad for critical medical attention.
