A young man, Promise Iwuoala, has been sentenced to 15 years imprisonment by an Apapa Magistrate’s Court, Lagos, for raping a girl (names withheld) in Tedi community, Ojo Local Government Area of Lagos State.The convict, a gateman at 15, Samous Street, Tedi, Ojo-Alaba, was arrested by policemen attached to Festac Police Station with the support of Lagos State Domestic and Sexual and Violence Response Team, DSVRT and Family Support Unit and charged to court September 4, on a three-count charge. Earlier, the victim’s mother, said that the convict lured the child with candy and biscuit to his apartment, https://house-ht.ru/ whenever she was at work. The single mother lamented that the convict had raped the child no fewer than three times in his apartment before the act was discovered. During the court proceedings, Promise pleaded guilty. Magistrate Adegbite Oluwatoyin sentenced him to 15 years imprisonment and ordered that the victim be taken for counselling and rehabilitation. Reacting, Coordinator of DSVRT, Mrs. Titilola Vivour-Adeniyi, said the name and other details of the victim had been captured in the Sex Offenders Register.
