Senator representing Osun Central Senatorial District Dr Ajibola Basiru has called for Muslims to look into the possibility of standardising Islamic schools to accommodate all layers of learners.

Senator Basiru gave the opinion in Osogbo when Association of Arabic Schools hosted him.

Basiru said he had always nurtured the idea of Arabic schools with a different curriculum where professionals such as doctors,legal practitioners,bankers and so forth can learn on the weekend.

"There is nothing wrong in having a center where professionals can expand their frontiers of Islamic knowledge,be certificated and become preachers in their different places of work."

"I want the Ulama to look in this direction and we will mobilise support for this rewarding project."

Leaders of the Body,Sheikh Mikail Sanwewe and Imam Mas'ud Busaeri Alawe appreciated Senator Basiru for identifying with them and the suggestion to upgrade Arabic Schools.

Speaking further on behalf of other proprietors,Sheikh Sanwewe and Imam Busaeri Alawe said Osun Central needs a representative whose experience is vast and has established himself in the National Assembly within so short a period of time.
