It's simple.

Lagos (Yoruba region) became Nigeria's capital in 1960. 31 years later (12th December, 1991) Abuja (Hausa region) was declared Nigeria's capital.

Going by that, 12th December, 2022 will be exactly 31 years after Abuja was made capital and as such, it should rotate to the Igbo region. No story.

The options are: Onitsha, Enugu, Umuahia, Owerri, Abakaliki, Port-Harcourt, Uyo, Calabar, Makurdi and Asaba.

Kindly vote for your preferred capital below.

The plan to move the capital from Lagos to Abuja was demographically motivated.
Abuja is centrally located and ushered in a virgin vast land foq a well planned capital city.
If there is a possibility of A new capital emerging which i doubt, it should not go to a town or city that is already congested with poor urban planning.
What Nigeria and most especially SE governors need to do is to launch aggressive urban renewal in major urban local governments by building quality roads (paved atleast in the town centres with trees by the sides), model schools, new modernised markets, hospitals, natural~intensive parks and strictly monitoring and regulating the rise of new buildings/settlements to ensure a well planned urban/rural areas devoid of slums
