He drowned in a family pool

Ifeanyi Adeleke, the three year old son of Popular Music Star, Davido Adeleke is dead.

It was gathered that the young Adeleke drowned in a pool at the Family Residence.

A source close to the family stated; “The boy was inside water for too long and they pulled him out and rushed him to the hospital,” the family source said under anonymity to await official statement. “By the time they rushed him to Lagoon Hospital it was already too late.”

He was confirmed dead this evening at a private hospital in Lagos.

Prior to Ifeanyi’s death, Davido earlier today was spotted teaching him how to swim.The music star carried Ifeanyi around in the pool as the energetic boy continued to flap his legs.

Davido who was obviously impressed by his son’s performance was heard commenting on how he was a fast learner.

He said: “This one go learn quick”. Davido and Chioma’s loss is coming years after Nigerian singer Oladapo Daniel Oyebanjo, popularly known as D’banj and wife Lineo Didi lost their first child after a drowning incident in 2018.

Daniel Oyebanjo III who was barely one year died after he drowned in a swimming pool at Dbanj’s residence in ikoyi, Lagos state.

I don't see any luxury in having a pool at home especially when there are little kids around such environment.
If anyone needs to swim or learn how to swim, there are private pool setups at various locations where there's proper supervision.
Definitely not an open pool at home.
