Nigerians create problems and blame the government.

CBN gives dollar to commercial banks to sell to Nigerians who will need them abroad but the commercial banks refused to sell to Nigerians instead handover the dollars to Abokis and bureau de change operators to sell at expensive and unofficial rate

This is my view too.
80% of the problems we have today are created by Nigerians. Unfortunately, the same people will turn around and blame the government. Even those who know the criminals still prefer to blame the government instead of blaming the criminals.

The government is changing currency which is its within the mandate and people were told to deposit whatever naira notes they have in bank accounts. Why is everybody running around buying dollars instead? Don't we know the implications of that? The same people are jumping online saying dollar is N900 and blaming gov

That's for admitting that your government is clueless.

You are a liar sir. CBN sells forex to registered BDC directly.
You are right...BDC applies for dollars directly from CBN....and they collect directly from CBN...They don't even go to commercial banks for collection.

It's normal for people to start dumping the naira they have for dollars now because of the policy putting pressure on dollars and moreover, the demand for dollars use to increase around election period.

There are only few registered BDC in Nigeria less than 8,000

There are around 80,000 unregistered BDC in Nigeria.
The funny thing is all these BDC apply for dollars every week from CBN because of the huge margin on dollar..

best bet we should float the currency irrespective of how high it goes, what are we consuming to warrant this dollar craze? Even if it’s how consumption isn’t it time we look into the importations consuming the fx and create the industry here

The government is aware of this trend through the CBN. There is no way you can absolve the government from the USDT saga! No way.. Top government officials are conniving with CBN to sabotage the availability of dollars to people who really need it!

Pilgrims going to Mecca are giving dollars at official rates or even lower, what happens to credibility of the CBN? Is it that some people in this country are more equal than others?
