One of the few sensible comments I've read. America is so lenient with their judicial system. Imagine them saying hes been exhibiting good behaviour since he was in prison by cleaning the whole place. That's the reason they're handing him just 11 years in prison. If he improves on that, one day you'd just hear that he's out in less than 4 years. They'd not leave him just like that once he's out. They'd keep a close watch on him. They may even employ him as a secret agent to detect fraud. They know he's intelligent. Mumu no dey do that kain tin so, they'd not allow him to be wasted away just like that.

That said his name has been dented already. He's also dented the name if Nigeria. Say no to fraud.

That won’t happen. Felons like Hushpuppi aren’t eligible for employment with the government and even if he was, with his record, he can’t get the security clearance required for the job. Forensic accounting was used to snatch away every dollar. He’ll be of no value to the government and will be deported after he completes his sentence.
The guy isn’t at all intelligent. He flaunted his stolen wealth on social media without knowing that the FBI was watching his every move for years. The guy also committed acts of fraud using an email address registered to his real name and was loaded on his primary phone.
He won’t be out in a short time because his sentence is a Federal sentence and doesn’t work like regular prison sentences.

1. Get that idea that Hushpuppi will be out in 4 years out of your head. He will not. Has Invictus Obi who was sentenced before him been released yet? He will do at least 70% of that time even if they want to be lenient with him for good behavior.

2. Hushpuppi is a felon and barred from employment with the US government as our magnificent criminal lawyer @1GenAmerican clearly stated.

3 Hushpuppi is not smart. He was not even a hacker. The real geniuses are the Russian and Korean hackers that he worked for. He was just a money mule who they paid a small cut to help them siphon their hacked money through various bank accounts. To make matters worse he was so stupid to allow that small amount get to his head flaunting it on social media and leaving trails of his criminality all over the place. The real hackers are x1000 richer than Hush but FBI will never catch them because they lay low.
