This is an old story as old as April this year. The yellow colour chemical don dry sotay you will even think it paint that poured on that Onisigun bridge before iroko.

The government responded swiftly then and warned people not to do anything with the water from the stream and it Tributaries.

This stream flows Old iroko road to Onisigun to Aba Igbagbo to Agede to Ijaye Ojutaye befor it finaly empty it's content into Odo Ogun.

Opposite the spot of the accident is where oyo state government is constructing a PPP low cost estate.
Punch should stop raising public fear abeg.

That's is my daily route to my farm at Fakore and Oretu.

Are you sure the truck wasn't intentionally 'crashed'? Because disposing toxic wastes can be a serious issue.

Few days ago. ..... Osinbajo was making big speech about Nigeria having the first of some kind radar that will detect changes in the atmosphere that caned to help us to predict climate change and and develop ways to correct the problem and safeguard the environment. Nonsense I said ... he should be focused on the environmental problems we have at home .. facing us now. Now here comes a spill .... where is the Environmental Protection Agency? This was an emergency ... a spill that ended immediate action to stop it from spreading. The effects of such a spill is likely to be seen in human in years to come. Water is contaminated and being contaminated for miles ... the soil is being contaminated ... fish that left the area and swam down stream may seem healthy... but contaminated and we will eat them and I take the chemicals unknown to us. Plants pulling contaminated water will also spread the contaminants in their fruits... and parts that we eat. As far as we can understand... this is just treated as a normal road accident... truck towed away... end of story. EPA is in no rush to find where the waste came from .... to press charges and most of all ... to find out what it is and the dangers it poses. Most likely it will be a carcinogen. The factory or wherever is still operating ... waste being transported illegally and life moves on.

I advise anyone to stop eating fish period because you don't know if its contaminated.... same with Bush meat.

The community should report the case to National environmental standards and regulations enforcement agency ( NESREA) . they are in better position to respond and FRSC should help by giving the details of the accident truck

That soap company is responsible for the mess — they should clean it up.

When Peter Obi becomes president, he should ensure that companies don't get away with their mess.

Vote Peter Obi 2023.

Dammm! This toxic shit has already spread through the waters to other states and beyond, at the moment it would seem as if everything is fine and has gone back to normal until people start getting sick and dying, knowing Naigerians they will blame the devil or some diabolical hocus pocus. The people in charge of the environment should investigate this toxic liquid and find out how far it has contaminated the neighboring states and beyond. No one knows who this toxic shit will affect, people from that state or next to it will be trading contaminated foodstuffs and other edibles across other states, and people will be buying unknowingly, everyone is at risks. Believe it or not.

Absolutely! the contaminations has spread past that area and gone beyond other states, this is a disaster waiting to happen, it may look as if things has gone back to normal in that area until people not just people from that state starts getting cancerous illnesses and dying, by then this toxic spillage incidents would have being forgotten, Naigerians will blame it on some diabolical mumbo jumbo or The Devil then. You are right people should stay away from fish, vegetables and other farm foods until this pandemic waiting to happen is investigated properly and resolved.
