Those saying that is Tinubu that built Lagos should kindly go and read the development of Lagos. Truly common sense is not common. Go and read the history of Lagos state. |

The Niger Delta had better count their teeth with their tongue to define their future. The very resources they depend on, they have access to these days via huge allocations is the root cause of this environmental calamity, the wanton use of fossil fuels. This is payback by the earth, big time. And the wise deployment of those very resources in this last decade, last bus-stop of climatic stability will mean the difference between survival and mass migration of the peoples concerned to other parts of Nigeria and beyond. For these places you see today, for all intents and purposes will be underwater in the next twenty, thirty years. The science simply does not lie. I am not too sure at this point in time if it makes any economic sense to rebuild that road as it is as a lasting solution. |

AMBASSADOR33:you are still a kid for saying this. Pre 1999, Lagos except some areas in Ikeja and VI was a big slum. You will see mountains of rubbish on highways like the way Onitsha is today. Nothing works. Tinubu came and changed it all |

Reference:you think you are smart but you sound foolish. When you compare the amount of carbon dumped into the atmosphere by developed countries to that of under developed countries you will see that it is insignificant. When you talk about global warming, you are indirectly talking about the by-product of energy conversion. Therefore the more industrious you are, the more energy you use and the more carbon you dump into the atmosphere. For us in the under developed countries we still use the ancient methods of energy conversion. Therefore, if we are to be restricted, we have to shut down factories, burning of bushes, reduce the years or age of cars that can enter the country. Emission from your exhaust will be checked and if it is above the limit you pay for it etc. Now the question you should be asking before criticizing Tinubu is can our economy withstand those rigours? No. We are not ripe for that. Let those that cause the problem solve it while we take our time to put things in place or they pay us to do that. |

Roboto11: why can't the criminal old drug addict build the slum?because he is coming to rule Nigeria and the entire Nigeria is a slum, the only places in Nigeria that looks like they have tasted development are the state capitals,so Tifnubu is not ready yet.Apc is too full of excuse.what Tifnubu and Obi meet on ground when they came into office are two different situation,Obi meet an Anambra that needs a rebuilding from the scratch while Tifnubu the drugee meet a former federal capital of the great Nigeria where so much money has been spent accruing from the crude oil boom from the 70's.Tifnubu is a thief and a very greedy politician.Tifnubu is a disgrace to Yoruba nation,if vieing for president he is the best you can offer. |

Roboto11:stop displaying your ignorance for the whole world to read,Lagos has been a hub for commerce during the colonial era everything from slaves to palmoil was moved from Lagos, badagry and calabar,it was also the capital of Nigeria for 40+ years attracting all manner of federal presence, the southeast was razed to the ground during the civil war and millions killed but still they rised from the ashes,go to the typical village in anambra state and compare it with your own village because I know Lagos is not your village, try and travel and see how other people are living,Nigeria does not start nor end with Lagos.oga travel and see. 1 Like |
