Our Data Analytics Students graduated on Friday

During the 3weeks training they were grouped into 5 groups of 5 individuals each.

They had several projects to work on. One of the students explained one of the projects Lets read through

They were asked to find out the issue in a company having too many of their employees resign. Which is currently a global concern

Looking at the HR data they discovered they will be analysing more on the employee exit from the company.

A general overview of the company created by visualising the total number of employee in the past 5 years. Also, percentage of male and female. It was broken down to the number of employee in each branch(state).

The employee age group was projected it was noticed that most of the employees are less than 40years. Which the higher percentage of the workforce were full time employee(76%) while 25% were part-time. It was discovered that the company only appraise every 5 years. Imagine ‍♀️

This led to the exit of many employees. 44% of the staff has resigned in 5 years.

The company is now been faced with 100% attrition because the same number of people hired every year are the same number that exit the company. 32% of the employee left voluntarily while 12 % left involuntarily. Their major reason for leaving was career growth and personal reasons.

Their advise to the management staff in this situation is that they should focus more on career progression. There should a yearly portfolio for staff training and all. This will encourage the young workforce to grow on the job and transition to different departments when they desire. The appraisal should also be done yearly instead of every 5 years and also there should be a yearly salary increment and bonus tired up to the appraisal. By doing this hardly will there be any staff leaving because of career growth.
