Please I need a clarification on Portugal job seeker visa.

1) Do you need to have a job in Portugal before applying for the visa?

2) If you must have a job first, how do you apply and get the job?

3) How much is the proof of funds requirement?

4) How many months does the POF need to stay in my account before printing my account statement for evidence?

5) Any other information

Just placed a call to the Portuguese embassy here in Abuja and they said all visa inquiries should be directed to VFS. It's well.

Yes anything related to visa inquiry and appointment is handle by VFS global.
This is the Abuja embassy official contact 09037808670 for those that want to make inquiry as some requested from me.

But if any one in need of appointment date for legalization at Abuja embassy I can assist.

No. You are to get an appointment through vfs. Go to the vfs website and book appointment there. Although getting appointment date is difficult but with God all things are possible https://visa.vfsglobal.com/nga/en/prt/login

can I get an appointment date while i prepare for my documents, because i hear it do take time. Please what's your advise.. or i should get all the required ready before I book appointment?

But does it mean that if I am to get appointment, I need to travel to Lagos? I’m based in Abuja by the way.

Hello bro,
Sorry for the refusal. Do t give up. Re-apply.

In my case I tried to appeal but VFS told me I would pay appeal fees which was almost equal to new application, so I did not appeal again. Luckily for me the day February 6 2024, I got my refusal, VFS Abuja portal was open, I was able to book again against March 21 ,2024 so I have enough time to gather extra support documents and also, i wanted to reapply in Lagos to avoid spending air fare and hotel Costa to Abuja. However from that Feb 6 till date , I have not heard of VFS open for appointment in Lagos or Abuja. So I ended up travelling again to Abuja on March 20, did VFS application on March 21 and returned to Lagos on March 21. This week is the third week since I applied, so I am optimistic. My first refusal came in 6 days from application, today is 18 days from my second application.

I noticed when I first applied, most of the people attending to clients were new trainees. I knew because they kept moving them from desk to desk and I over heard a supervisor telling them that one someone will come and train them in another room and some of the girls at the desk said, " Thank God" , meaning they were not ready in confidence on what they were expected to do. What annoyed was that the experienced lady who attended to me first time removed some of my docs like past UK, France and Portugal visas and said its not necessary, that Portugal embassy has my records . I also think my letter my not have been good enough.
In my second application, nothing was removed, the woman who attended to me did not remove anything.

Check your PCC , if it is not expired, reapply if you can get appointment, but VFS now has become something else to get appointment date. I was lucky I booked the Abuja date for appointment as I was thinking if I get Lagos date, I will ignore the Abuja appointment, but I have not been able to get Lagos appointment. Even someone who was willing to exchange or sell her appointment to me, VFS said appointment was not transferable, so I went to Abuja. I am hoping for the best

Hello boss I applied in Abuja on the 13th of March , I just got a notice of refusal on the 14th of April , stating insufficient proof of susteinance , I was asked to submit supporting documents within 10days , I submitted an account balance of 4m with a cash flow of 8m. Can I possibly top up my account with 10m and send document to the embassy.

Hello SInce , they are the one requesting for it, there is no harm in trying. BUT, HAVE A VERY good explanation for the bulk sum inflow. Like liquidated investment certificate and attach evidence or family.

i think you should start looking for appointments now...and at the same time get your documents ready. Getting an appointment done turn to something else.

If you are going for masters
It is your Bsc, transcript and o level. For study you can includes you kids birth certificate and marriage certificate if you want to move with your family.
Verification of Bsc & Transcript at the embassy is free, but 250k for Hnd&ND holders, marriage certificate and those going for Bsc and the process of verification lasts for weeks
After you be contacted to come and legalize.

You don't need to travel to Lagos
The Abuja Embassy is the most active
And appointment booking for legalization and visa is online you can select either Abuja or Lagos but Abuja is the most active, since you are Abuja you can use Abuja.

It means they didn’t find your supporting documents convincing enough.

You may choose to apply, but then you will need to review documents you sent. What was the volume of ur POF?

I have 10M in my account for over 6 months now. I think the supporting documents was because my business did not have official email on the letter heading or because they did not find my landed property convincing because I just have land receipt but no C of O
