Three Killed As Uncompleted Building Collapses At Stephen Keshi Stadium In Delta (Photos)

Three people are reportedly dead after the collapse of a multi-sports complex being built at the Stephen Keshi Stadium in Asaba, Delta State.

The incident, which took place on November 10, 2022, in the morning, resulted in numerous injuries.

The 21st National Sports Festival is scheduled to take place at the stadium on November 28, 2022, and the structure is currently under construction.

Sunday Dare, the minister of sports and youth development, recently inspected the site and declared the facilities to be 80% operational.

Although the exact reason for the collapse is still unknown, it was learned that the rush of the construction to fulfill the project’s delivery date for usage was likely a contributing factor.

Construction workers who were on the building site are among the dead.
