According to @ikogbonna, who describes how pneumonia nearly took his life, the sickness is one of the most fatal vaccine-preventable illnesses that has killed many people.

The World Health Organization and UNICEF warn that the rising number of unvaccinated children poses a serious threat since millions would be left vulnerable to lethal illnesses like measles, polio, tuberculosis, and pneumonia.

With a strong desire to save lives and support social causes, @ikogbonna joins NIYEL as a spokesperson to educate the public about the advantages of vaccinations against diseases like pneumonia.

The event coincided with the global celebration of World Pneumonia Day; a day set aside to raise awareness on the deadly nature of pneumonia and to highlight global action to protect against pneumonia, including the use of pneumococcal vaccines. #PuHI


Speaking on why they decided to partner with Niyel on this social cause, Ini Edo highlighted the increasing number of unvaccinated children in Nigeria and Africa which worsened during the COVID-19 pandemic in part due to unnecessary fear and unfounded rumours. #PuHI

This initiative is really nice from Niyel. I think you people should make more noise on social media because a lot of Nigerians do not believe in vaccines. Look at the Covid-19 vaccines to for example, some Nigerians see it as a deadly thing. Thanks Nigel for this.
