Zenith Bank collaboration between Zenith Bank and Seedstars is organizing a Zenith Bank Startup Pitch Competition 2022 with the goal of funding Nigerian minimum viable product (MVP) stage startups in progressing to the next stage of growth.

The Zenith Bank Pitching Competition is officially launching its open call for entrepreneurs in Nigeria with tech-enabled, scalable solutions designed to innovate businesses from different industries.

Ten entrepreneurs out of all applications with the most promising startups will be invited to the pitch competition happening at Zenith Tech Fair on November 22 and 23. following the competition, the winners could win up to N15 million in cash prizes.

Zenith Bank Plc was officially established in May 1990, and commenced operations in July of the same year as a commercial bank, later became a public limited company on June 17, 2004, and was also listed on the Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE) on October 21, 2004, following a highly successful Initial Public Offering (IPO)

The competition is set to recognize promising businesses and support the best startups that are tech-inclined and have innovative ideas to help solve the problems of the present to build a better future in the following areas:

Benefits of the Zenith Bank Startup Pitch Competition 2022

The pitch competition taking place at the Zenith Tech Fair on November 22 and 23 will give the ten startups the opportunity to pitch their solutions for a chance to win the following cash prizes:
1st Prize: N15 million
2nd Prize: N10 million
3rd Prize: N5 million

The rest of the startups will be awarded a participatory prize of N1 million each, and the top 5 startups will receive follow-on mentorship through Seedstars’ Mentorship Hub that will enable them to continue scaling their businesses and receive additional support from a global network of experts and investors.

The following/given criteria must be fulfilled by candidates to be eligible or to qualify for the Zenith Bank Startup Pitch Competition 2022.

Eligibility Criteria: To be eligible, the applicants are required to meet all the following/given criteria:

Existing startups/young tech companies (<3 years) in the Nigerian ecosystem;
The startup must have a demonstrable product or service (MVP) or must demonstrate the viability of the business model;
The startup needs to be scalable or have the potential to reach scalability;
A startup must have a complete team;
A startup must not have raised more than $75K; and;
Startups must be operating in one of the sectors listed above.
