HOMEVIDA 2011 IS HERE!!!

HOMEVIDA announces it 2011 future films prizes and short film script competition. The prizes are:
The Due process film prize
Endowed by the Bureau for Public Procurement

The Child Friendly Film Prize
Endowed by the National Film and Video Censors Board

The Faith Film Prize
Endowed in honor of Late Pastor Don Igwe

Public conduct film Prize
Endowed by code of conduct Bureau

PRIZES
The winning film will get N1M.
The winning film script will get an award accompanied by a cash prize of N100, 000 and their script will be turned into a short film (by homevida mediacrew) with a N1M.

VOTING PROCEDURE

Click on each prize to nominate film (Any Nigerian film produced in the last 50 years is eligible for nomination)

To be eligible all films must:
1. Have been produced in Nigeria
2. Be a drama/feature film
3. Be between 60mins and 120mins
4. Technically be of broadcast standards with clear sound and vision
5. Be realistic, dramatic and entertaining
6. Produce documentation to show clearance of music rights, script and talent
7. Show evidence of registration with NFVCB (if the film has been released)
8. Be made by filmmakers who are 18 years and above
9. Have its Producer, Director and Screenwriter registered with the relevant industry guild or association.
10. Meet individual criteria for the prize being applied for

To nominate a film:
1. Complete the online application form
2. With a synopsis of your nominated film in no more than 300 words
3. Send biographies of key production personnel (if known)

SHORT SCRIPT CATEGORY
FAMILY FRIENDLY FILM SCRIPT
• A story suitable for family viewing, portraying family values.
• Have a storyline that is believable, realistic, dramatic and entertaining.

A SCRIPT PORTRAYING DUE PROCESS
• A story encouraging integrity, true competition, transparency, accountability, especially amongst contractors and government officers.
• Have a storyline that is believable, realistic, dramatic and entertaining.

A SCRIPT PORTRAYING THE ROLE OF THE CHRISTIAN FAITH IN NATIONAL DEVELOPMENT
• A story encouraging individuals to embrace the virtues of anti-corruption (honesty, transparency, integrity and accountability) as part of their Christian service.
• Have a storyline that is believable, realistic, dramatic and entertaining.
To be eligible all scripts must be
• Able to be made into a 10-15 minute film
• Have well defined characters and plot
• Typed and presented professionally
