The President’s Inter-Senior Secondary Schools Debate Championship Is an Annual Debate Championship Organized by The Presidency for All States Across the Country.

The debate competition was held in Abuja from November 14th to November 17th, 2022. The Anambra State Debate Team defeated all participating states in the preliminary round to face the Nasarawa State Debate Team in the Grand Finale at the Federal Ministry of Education Headquarters in Abuja. The teams disagreed on whether “technology has done more harm than good in the twenty-first century.” Proposing The Motion, The Anambra State Debate Team Performed Outstandingly, Earning the Judges and Magnanimous Crowd’s Applause to Win National First Place. The debate teams from Nasarawa and Abia State finished second and third respectively.

This Victory Qualifies the Anambra State Debate Team to Represent the Country in The World Schools Debate Championships in Vietnam in 2023.
