Window For Reconciliation In PDP Remains Open ― G5 Govs, Others by Kwanza: 4:03pm On Nov 20, 2022
Five governors of the main opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) led by the Rivers State governor, Mr Nyesome Wike, as well as former governors, leaders and elders of the party clamouring for the sack of PDP National Chairman, Sen. Iyorcha Ayu, on Sunday met in Lagos, declaring that they still stand on the position they earlier took in Port- Harcourt, just as they reiterated that the window for reconciliation in the party remained open.

The party chieftain made this known at the end of the closed-door meeting which took place at Southern Sun Hotel, in Ikoyi, and hosted by former Deputy National Chairman of PDP, Chief Olabode George.

Former Plateau State governor, Jonah Jang, who addressed newsmen, said those at the meeting, including Governors Okeje Ikpeazu, Nyesome Wike, Ifeanyin Ugwuayi; former Governor Ayo Fayose, former Governor Mimiko, Chief Dan Orbih, Ambassador Taofeek Arapaja, among others, who the Oyo State governor, Seyi Makinde, called Integrity Group, arrived at the decision after a careful review of developments in the party.

“After a careful review of developments in our party, we have decided to stand on the decisions we took in our Port- Harcourt meeting. And we hereby reiterate that the window for reconciliation in our great party, PDP, remains open,” Jang in his very short remark.

The G5 rebels should close the window for Reconciliation....

Atiku Abubakar will still win the upcoming General Elections without their help...

The G5 States will still remain in the PDP column and the electorates will vote for Atiku Abubakar and PDP candidates at all levels.

The election results will shock them and they will go into Political Oblivion and Irrelevance.

It is obvious, the "we are still open to reconciliation" is a tacit invite for a face-saving reverse to all their early puerile salvos. If they are sure of their boasts, they should have burnt the bridge and move to a party where their agitation can be actualised, if truly it's not majorly for attention.

The fact remains that, they are not sure of if with or without them Atiku won't win, so they want to play safe. They will soon sheathe their sword and work for Atiku.

Atiku will win, it is clear to all except to the bullaba crew .

Learn to negotiate, give and take. It can only make you guys stronger. That is the salt of democracy.

If you support 'strong manism', you breed a dictator that WILL end up consuming everyone else.

Your group is an honourable one. Don’t form any alliance with the 2 criminal parties of APC and PDP especially APC. Your group should form an alliance with NNPP and Labour and rescue Nigeria.

That’s the right thing to do.

Atiku is a smart and wise politician.
He knows that whether the 5 governors supports him or not, he's not going to win Rivers, Abia, Enugu and Oyo.
So, he's concentrating where his strength lies, which is the North.

shocked
Atiku should kiss his presidential ambition goodbye if he fail to reconcile and accommodate these Five Governors.
As a northern Muslim running to replace Buhari, Atiku appears to be out of touch with reality because he is going nowhere without these five governors support.

They have no option. Nyesom Wike is eyeing the 2027 presidency whether Atiku wins or lose.
