HIGHLIGHTS FROM THE CONSTITUENCY BRIEFING HELD ON SATURDAY BY SENATOR DR IFEANYI UBAH ON AUTHORITY 91.9 FM.

1, Ndi Anambra South were urged to make plans for mass return this Yuletide as Senator Ubah embarks on operation Secure And Light Up Anambra South billed to kick-start next week.

2, Operation Secure and Light Up Anambra South is a compendium of programmes with special emphasis on the improvement of visibility, communication, and information networking.

3, Every ward in Anambra South Senatorial District will have at least 50 high-powered solar street lights shining in their communities this Ember month.

4, A 10-man Committee from every ward in Anambra South Senatorial District is to be inaugurated.

Terms of reference.

° Identify the spots for the fixing of the solar streetlights.

° Get a home-based contractor to handle the fixing of the high-powered solar streetlights.

° Supervise the work and ensure that it is delivered within the stipulated time frame.

5, Delivery of Security gadgets/equipment and training of 119 youths (one per ward) in the 'train the trainers exercise' to be held in collaboration with the Nigerian police and Anambra State Government.

6, Briefing on the Journey so far at the Red Chambers and the Senator's numerous accomplishments ranging from critical bills, (one of which has already been passed into law), to school blocks, educational materials and equipment, erosion control and drainages, health centres, roads, market shops, cold rooms, toilets, solar-powered boreholes,houses for the poor/elderly, numerous empowerment and intervention programs, etc.

7, To commence the second phase of rehabilitation works on the Ozubulu axis of the Nnewi -Ozubulu-Okija Road project.

8, 500,000 Naira start-up business fund to 50 youths in Anambra South Senatorial District.

9, Ifeanyi Ubah Foundation sponsored Ward football tournament to kick start in December 2022.

° Football Tournament to extend from ward to local governments with a final stage of the competition to be held amongst 7 Participating local governments and the Ifeanyi Ubah feeder team.

° Prizes to be won include monies for the winning team as well as the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th runner-ups.

° Football jerseys and boots for all participants from the ward level.

° Cash gifts to all participants in the tournament.

10, Farmers will get fertilisers and other agricultural materials to aid their farming output..
