A sad story if true, you need to stop blaming yourself and start thinking about the child you are carrying, as you’ll soon be responsible for a life. It’s definitely not the end of the world and people make mistakes, the most important thing is if you’ve learnt from it. |

It's hard to tell when people are being serious on this site. On one hand you want to impart some good advice to help them out but on the other it frustrates you that people find time to make up redonkulous stories just for the sake of it. 9jafetish: Did you just blame it on God? girl you must be out of your mind.why not ask your boyfriend to put something at the end of it?? smh!!! One reason i come to NL,i come here to learn from people's experiences,if any girl who frequent NL, especially the romance section, is unable to grab some good advise to use to groom herself,then that boy/girl is wasting their time. Wisdom is not about making loads and loads of threads,its about learning from some very tangible experiences of others. There are so many threads one can learn from,you hear how people ,have a one night stand and get pregnant, how they lament and cry about it,but still you went ahead and got yourself pregnant at the age of 19. My advise for you hear,you have to tell your mum about it,and try using condom/contraceptive next time. Did i hear you say you are not too sure,who the pregnancy belongs to??or am i drunk? P.S. imay sound harsh,but no parent would be happy to see their 19 yr old getting pregnant out of wedlock, ask your mom and dad,if you doubt me. |

btw thank you all for advicing me i haven't told my parents yet but i will tell my mom soon,when she is cooled down or at work. i think i should text it to her first, then get ready for the blow, i just can't say it to her face. i keep on imagening her taking something big and throwing it at me. and to those who believe it or not, it doesn't matter you never know someother pregnant student will probably find this thread and find it to be helpful, so your not only helping me your helping others too. |

I dont understand why ppl thinks pregnancy stops everything? What's stopping you from going to school after giving birth?  If you're in Lagos, dont worry. Didnt Fashola approve a law that forbids men from avoiding their child? If you're not in Lagos, then you're indeed screwed. but dont worry, you can give the child up to another loving parent or. . . . you can leave the child at home and continue with school. The positive thing about the whole issue is that. . . . you got screwed at the beginning and you're still going to be screwed at the end of all this. |
