kkash: I don't think you're getting my point, and by the way, animals/plants have been producing hybrid species long before the dawn of mankind. My point here is that Mars used to have a magnetosphere, which provided protection for it's atmosphere. Now that magnetosphere no longer exists and that is the reason for it's very thin atmosphere. Any terraforming initiative must address first of all the issue of magnetosphere. |

Alusiizizi: I understand you now, the absence of a magnetosphere wld make any atmosphere created in mars to be stripped away by solar wind, I think, not really sure, an artificial magnetosphere is being considered using one of the moons....though its a stretch, I'll research more on it to know the latest developments in that. |
