Ambassador Ogbuewu Defects to APC

___ Theophilus Ifeanyi Igwe

The former Minister of Culture and Tourism, Ambassador Frank Nchita Ogbuewu, has formally joined the All Progressives Congress (APC). The former Minister, announced his new direction on Thursday, during the auspicious occasion, of the APC Presidential Campaign Rally/Governorship Campaign Flag off at Pa Ngele Oruta Township Stadium, Abakaliki.

Ambassador Ogbuewu, who defected with over thousands of PDP supporters and bigwigs in Ebonyi State, said, that he joined APC, in support of the Gubernatorial Candidate of the Party, Rt Hon. Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru;
"Let me say that on behalf of the thousands of PDP decampees in Ebonyi State, I want to say, that I, Ambassador Frank Nchita Ogbuewu, on their behalf, have joined the APC today, in support of our Gubernatorial Candidate, Rt Hon. Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru, because, he deserves to be voted in as the Governor of Ebonyi State."

It could be recalled, that Ambassador Ogbuewu, in his letter of resignation, dated 14th November, 2022, which was sent to his ward Chairman, Mr Gabriel Nweke Chukwu, and the National Chairman, Senator Iyorchia Ayu, said that he left PDP, because, the National Working Committee was more interested in their selfish gains, instead of winning election, and however, thanked the party, for the opportunities he had through the party, to participate in the nation building;
"However, I thank you and the party, for the opportunities I had while working with the party to participate in the nation building, but unfortunately, the action of the current National Working Committee of the Party is unscrupulous. The National Working Committee is more interested in their selfish gains, than winning election. It is on this note, that I resign my membership from the party."

Ambassador Ogbuewu is a political heavyweight, a grassroot politician, and a mobilizer, who has thousands of loyalists and supporters across the State. He has served as a Local Government Chairman, Nigerian Ambassador to the Hellenic Republic of Greece, and Minister of Culture and Tourism. His defection from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), is indeed, a noticeable vantage for the All Progressives Congress in Ebonyi State.

Bola Tinubu has national acceptance unlike that Tinubu's shoe shiner that his own governor exposed as a fraud and who is being backed by secessionists.
