I wonder how the BBC was able to get the claim by "Boko Haram" even before the Nigerian media. And how did they know who exactly to call in BBC,lol. |

Chyz*: wierd indeed, the Nigerian un ambassador Joy Ogwu is on TV right now, telling the whole world she dose not know who is responsible The scary bit is that she is emphasising that its an attack on the whole world! Thats an open invitation for foreign intervention |

Chyz*: The BBC for decades have been the invisible hand behind all major dramatic events in Nigeria ranging from the igbo riots and killings in the North to the coup and counter coup and civil war and ultimately Nigeria break up in 2015. They have specialist hausa speaking news network that they transmit to the Northerners through radio waves and news website in hausa etc. |

There is one recurring theme throughout this unfortunate event and that is CONFUSION. How can a news agency in another continent have access to information quicker than the government? There are so many dummies running around on the forum with conspiracy theories and false accusations – its pathetic. All the government has to do is issue a clear statement to calm down the situation and show they are in full control. |

Hausa service is soo very active. The Northerner is a bit more politically educated than the southerner. Even an illiterate Northerner can make reasonable arguments when it comes to politics as against their southern counterpart. |

While BBC and the rest of the world were covering the events from Abuja, NTA was busy covering the Osogbo festival and when I hooked up online to check Channels TV, they were showing some event in Portharcourt. With alll due respect to these news stations, why would these terrorists call them? |
Re: Boko Haram Claim Responsibility For Abuja Bombing - BREAKING NEWS by NemekGee: 5:13pm On Aug 26, 2011 |
I understand that NTA needed the permission of the presidency to broadcast it. Why would any nation want to expose its insecurity / flaws to the rest of the world. I am sure the BBC didnt broadcast everything about the london riots. |
Re: Boko Haram Claim Responsibility For Abuja Bombing - BREAKING NEWS by Obinoscopy(m): 5:16pm On Aug 26, 2011 |
Al Qaeda in action. If GEJ doesn't do anything to nip this northern radicalism/terrorism in the bud, the northern section of Nigeria (Abuja inclusive) will be toppled by Al Qaeda and Boko Haram members |

I share your thoughts Obinoscopy. That is the ultimate goal. These boys want their own country. |
Re: Boko Haram Claim Responsibility For Abuja Bombing - BREAKING NEWS by Claus(m): 5:21pm On Aug 26, 2011 |
NemekGee: NTA needed the permission of the presidency to broadcast that there was a bomb blast in Abuja? If the aim is to prevent the exposure of Nigeria's insecurity/flaws, why shackle the local reporting (NTA) and not international reporting (BBC). |
Re: Boko Haram Claim Responsibility For Abuja Bombing - BREAKING NEWS by Beaf: 5:21pm On Aug 26, 2011 |
Obinoscopy: I'm sure Western countries are very much interested in keeping Nigeria one as a check on extremist Islam. Therefore, rather than boko haram taking over the North, US drones, missiles and jackboots will. The fools and illiterates that boko haram are, they are rolling the dice for not only their own end, but also the domination of the North by foreign powers who are scared of terrorism hitting their shores from here. The North is beginning to say bye-bye to political relevance forever and ever. |

It never fails to amaze me how Nigerians are absolutely deluded and are in complete denial. Nigerians are so fake it makes me sick, physically revolting. Everybody, especially board members have been aware of this, and I was screaming about this months ago. Some chose to deny the Al Quaeda connection and others chose to abuse, but now shit has hit the fan. You reap what you sow. Start bracing yourselves for another audacious attack, where will the target be, who knows. Nigeria needs to separate period! |

nolongTing:Out of the 3 Nigerian channels on Mytv network, it was only AIT that was scrolling the news on their newsfeed. NTA was conducting interview while SilverBird was playing music. Aljazeera and BBC were relaying the event live coupled with their coverage on Libya. We don't have any media yet in Nigeria. |

The Boko Haram menace is not the type you handle with kid gloves else they become a time-bomb for everybody. Mr Jonathan, please cast aside all niceties and come down hard on these incorrigible people! It's getting too late with each passing day to do so. |

When some of us were shouting that, GEJ was digging his political grave by choosing to dialogue with Boko Haram, some of you here were calling us names. Now, this is the outcome of the dialogue. More bombings will follow soon. This is a pure indictment on the backward government of Jonathan. Please, remember that, the Boko Haram people promised to resume their terrorism after the end of Ramadan Fast. If they can strike within few days to the end of Ramadan, what will happen after Ramadan? Almighty God, please, save Nigeria. |
