Akwa Ibom students, under the aegis of Annang Students Union, Akwa Ibom Polytechnic chapter, on 26th November, 2022 officially endorsed the candidacy of Senator Bassey Albert Akpan, CON, for the office of governor of Akwa Ibom State. Among other deeds of the Senator, the students lauded his fully-paid scholarship programme, which over 481 Akwa Ibom students have so far benefited. The Okuku Ntó Annang, Okuku Ntukidem Bassey, presented an award of excellence to the YPP gubernatorial candidate, Senator Bassey Albert Akpan, saying that "it is not only Akwa Ibom students that have endorsed the Senator but the entire Akwa Ibom people.
