There are two codes on your INEC-issued PVC,
1=> Your VIN:
It is your [u]Voter Identity Numbe[/u]r - unique to you that looks like 90F5 B156 E252 ...

2=> PVC Code:
This is your PVC Identity code, it identifies or points to which polling unit your PVC belongs. it looks like this 24-08-08-026
Every sequence on the code has meaning:

24 - is the state code (i.e. Lagos is #24 on the list of states in Nigeria)
08 - is the LGA code
08 - is the ward code
026- is the polling unit code

On election day many may find it challenging to identify their polling unit, especially the newcomers. But you can use this to direct people to their Correct Poling Unit using their PVC.
