The police in Cross River state have arrested a yet-to-be-identified woman for allegedly b€heading her 11-month-old baby in the Yonen community of Ugep, Yakurr local government area on Tuesday, November 29.
 
Confirming the arrest to newsmen, the spokesperson of the state police command, Irene Ugbo said the suspect was almost lynched by a mob after she was apprehended.  She added that the case would be transferred from Ugep to the homicide department for proper investigation.
