Hearing Northern Nigeria, one will quickly picture insecurities, infrastructure decay, poverty and so on.

The truth is the north has been stepping up it's game in recent times. From remarkable infrastructure embarked upon by state governments across the 19 northern states with that of Kano, Kaduna and Borno making headlines to the discovery of oil in the north.

There are a lot of silent projects undertaken in the north that is expected to change the whole economy of that region.

Many of these projects are rarely discussed online unlike projects in the south (2nd Niger bridge, Lagos light rail, Lagos Ibadan expressway etc.) which we tend to see a lot of updates about.

Most mega projects in the north are rarely reported. The recent discovery of oil is an example. Very few people knew there were oil explorations going on in the north not until it was completed.

They are sillent actors and not noisey looter like the south.

These are mostly federal government projects. It appears the most critical Infrastructural projects this administration has done are sited in Nigeria's north, while the resources for financing the projects come from the south

I won't be surprised if the mod ignore this wonderful post.
