SEN. DR PATRICK IFEANYI UBAH CELEBRATES WORLD DISABILITY DAY.

On behalf of my principal, distinguished senator Dr Patrick Ifeanyi Ubah (senator representing the good people of Anambra Senatorial zone) I heartily wish to commemorate you on this year's World disables day which is anchored on the topic ' *TRANSFORMATIVE SOLUTIONS FOR INCLUSIVE DEVELOPMENT: THE ROLE OF INNOVATION IN FUELLING AN ACCESSIBLE AND EQUITABLE WORLD'*
The annual observance of the International Day of Persons with Disabilities on 3 December was proclaimed in 1992 by the United Nation’s General Assembly resolution 47/3 aimed to promote an understanding of disability issues and mobilize support for dignity, rights and well-being of persons with disabilities.
Unarguably, Sen Dr Patrick Ifeanyi Ubah is the highest individual benefactor both as individual and as a politician to persons with disabilities in the state taking cognizance of his gargantuan impacts in our lives.
In attempt to bring transformative solutions for inclusive development, Sen Ubah since 2014 to date for the first time in the anal of Anambra State imported and distributed advanced aides/machines such where about 500 pieces of motorised tricycles, 1000 pieces of motorised and manual wheelchairs, clutches, brail machines /laptops, special phones etc to the disable community in Anambra state, this is verifiable.
Those living with sickle cell anaemia were also not left behind.
Senator Ubah in his good heart has also extended his benevolence to almost all the homes for the disables and vulnerables both public, mission and private in Anambra South.
The complex and interconnected crises facing humanity today, includes the schocks resulting from the insecurity in the state especially in Anambra South has posed more concern to Senator Ifeanyi Ubah as people in vulnerable situations such as persons with disabilities are the most excluded and left behind, he therefore promised to use the instrument of legislature to collaboratively find innovative solutions for and with persons with disabilities to make the state a more accessible and equitable place.
It is also pertinent to note that Senator Ubah have successfully facilitated employment of persons with disabilities in both public and private sectors and has promised to do more through our supports towards his political movements.
In order to curtail the issues and challenges facing persons with disabilities in his constituency and his interests on innovation for disability inclusive development in employment, Sen Ubah is the only senator in the South East that appointed a physically person as his senior special assistant on disability matters and has through that means facilitated various skill acquisitions /Empowerment Programmes and as well constant provision of mobility aides and appliances.
Through your supports and prayers Sen. Ubah has indicated his interest on innovation for disability inclusive development on sports and promotes social activities among persons with disabilities.
Conclusively, Sen Ubah promised to collaboratively work with the state government to ensure effective execution of the disability commission laws in the state as he extends his unending love to the disable community in Anambra South and the state in general.
