He should do that in silence until he is sure if mailing him. We should start reasoning differently in this country. Everything is not noise and public fight.

You can work in silence and loud your results afterwards.
...and how will you and I learn about this atrocities when he's filing court cases in secret? It's sad that Africa will remain underdeveloped probably for eternity because it's not an administrative problem we have. It's mental.

At this day and age, some Nigerians have not gained enough wisdom to know how Government properties are procured who actually owns these assets.

Corrupt thieves will steal funds that belong to millions of people yet sycophants will rush to defend them online because of #30k salary.

It would shock you that most of them don't even get 30K.

As long as it fits their tribal and partisan bias, that is enough compensation for them.

Typical senseless zombidients who can't read and comprehend. They said it's always been a practise to take vehicles. Oyetola didn't complain after Aregbesola drained Osun with low igr and debt without anything to work with. Rather Oyetola increased Osun igr and paid Osun debt. If Some people were Oyetola, they would even drain all the igr increase and return it to how they met it. Let the ungrateful people face the mess they want. Yeye dey smell. Yet Oyetola didn't do such. So why is Adeleke still crying? Better, get to work and do something impactful before you're booted out by appeal court.

Re: APC Admits Oyetola, Others Took Away Official Vehicles After Approval by seborrhic: 11:58am On Dec 03, 2022
It's wrong, but so much as this,as truthfully stated by the APC spokesman, has been the practice down the years,by virtually all state governments in Nigeria, you cannot on this issue accuse oyetola and the deputy with others that benefited,of corruption or stealing.
What Adeleke should do,if he sees this,as morally and criminally wrong,is to get the assembly to pass a law or give an executive order to be gazetted stating that the practice is hearby stopped and becomes illegal henceforth by any government official leaving office.
Otherwise, Adeleke is only grandstanding and playing to the gallery.
Uzodinma said and did worst against the government of his predecessor, but today him and Rochas have sort of come to a 'gentleman agreement ', because I feel uzodinma has realised he and his cronies are also using same executive power to be acquiring government and people's assets and landed properties and would also not want to be forced to relinquish such stolen assets and properties when he too leaves office,by his successor.
That is the way of Nigeria politics since 1999, something people that initially voted for Buhari in 2015 thought he was coming in to correct, not knowing he is another utterly corrupt, bigoted, lying, pretentious criminal.

Naija people this is one of the reasons your Country/States will be the same.

You took everything away because your predessecors took away what they met too. And the Circle continues.

Look at the Deputy Gov case, here is someone who would probably be a State Pension for Life, yet he stripped the State house! Even Kitchen utensils.

The next Governor/Government will come in now and start borrowing to replace these Items.

Hypcrites. Acting like they aren't all thieves.

Even Adeleke when he's leaving office will leave with government properties. He's now acting like this is the first time they are doing it.

They're all guilty of this. They're all thieves
Oga, address the issue at hand and you can address Adeleke after the end of his tenure if he also misbehaves. For now the last administration pilfered public property and the party spokesman is not one bit ashamed of it. This is why running the government in Nigeria is so expensive. Where in the world is it sustainable to buy new official vehicles every time there's a new batch of elected officials and appointees? Why should anyone overlook it in a country that's considered the poverty capital of the world?

This is normal now.... Did Adeleke also return the SUV he gets every four years as a senator?!

The vehicle automatically belongs to you once you pay some depreciation value cost

In the history of Nigeria, Only Buhari returns his 4 bullet proof SUV before collecting another one after 4 years and in 2014 Buhari claimed his SUV was damaged and Sambo Dasuki paid him $150,000 for a new SUV

*PRESS RELEASE*

*OSUN STATE SHOULD NOT BE STRIPPED BARE OF MOVABLE ASSETS*

- Goke Omigbodun
(Convener: Good Governance Globally)

Our attention has been drawn to the fact of vehicles and other movable assets of Osun State, being misappropriated now by high political office holders of the immediate past APC administration of Alhaji Gboyega Oyetola.

It is grossly misleading of Chief Sunday Akere, an APC chieftain and Political Adviser to the just replaced government, to claim on a radio program, today 1st December 2022, that it has been the tradition for official cars and other movable assets to be taken away as gifts by officials of outgoing administrations in Osun State.

Chief Akere should in fact apologize for mentioning the government of Prince Olagunsoye Oyinlola, in which I served as Special Adviser. *We all returned our official cars, and some of my colleagues were even hounded for what was not!*

I also served in the Papa Bisi Akande administration and returned all my official vehicles.

It is almost certain that the official cars of the then Honorable Commissioner for Education, whom Chief Sunday Akere served as Personal Assistant were also returned.

In fact, members of the then PDP as constituted, the political party that was to take over from the then Alliance for Democracy, AD, were stopping officials of the Papa Bisi Akande-led administration on the bridge along the Gbongan Road leading to the State Secretariat, and elsewhere, stripping all of their official vehicles!
That was immediately after election results were declared and long before Prince Oyinlola was sworn in.

*The said tradition is new and confined to the APC administrations*

*It is an unbearable tradition of "a heavy knee on the neck" of Osun State lean wallet!*

If the act of taking state vehicles and other movable assets as personal gifts is according to any extant law, Osun Government of the day and the good people of Osun should overlook the acts, prevail on the next Osun State House of Assembly to enact an appropriate *Transition of Osun State Administrations Law*, for future purposes, and let's move on.

If there was such a Transition Law, and the immediate past government of Alhaji Gboyega Oyetola was compelled by an Act of Parliament to cooperate with the Transition Committee set up by the then Governor-Elect, now inaugurated Governor Ademola Adeleke, no office or official residence would have been stripped bare even of cutleries, doors and windows, as claimed now by the new administration.

Long live Osun State!

Let Frank for once,
Since 1997 that’s Obasanjo tenure till now ,I was very fortunate to be close to different people transiting from them till now including my own father but who was later out just last tenure.

In summary I now a lot about this.

This are the reasons government Officials are allowed to leave with some of there Public properties esp Cars…

1. The incoming new people often and always insisting the want New Vechicles so still at the end abandoning the used one or at the end they themselves sale it cheap out or give to there party man.
So most start have it as part of your agenda that they politicians are allowed to leave with there cars after making some payment and show evidence of payment with receipt.
And the Truth is they often paid thou it may be cheaper like paying #3m which is firstly approved by the state for a car of #5m.They often pay because they know the opponent now in power will come for them later.

2) Some of the cars have been roughly used by some politicians so is just better to make them buy it cheaper because it now just too bad.

Etc

I’m not in support where is not the act of the state already or when there is no payment.

But somehow is better to make them pay than for it to be abandoned by new incoming that want new cars and some properties.
