You may nor be able to watch kids enough but you can certainly keep potential dangers such as the buckets of water away from the reach of the kids.

A bucket of water is enough to drown a toddler. Once the child looks inside the water and sees his image in the water like a mirror l, he wants to reach deep down into the bucket.. then he leans into the bucket. His feet gets off the ground and his head and upper body is inverted into the bucket. That's it

Sad story.

It's hard to watch small kids hoping you'll keep them away from danger. It's easier to keep danger away from them.

Instead of collecting water in (closed) buckets and baths, I think a better idea will be to use jerry cans which only adults can access the water in them. Even adults can forget to close those big baths or buckets after using the water in them, talk less of younger children.

This type of accident is more common than most think as it has also taken the life of a neighbor's son.

Think about it first at least, the child falling heads down with legs up inside the bucket gives him zero chance of surviving, you know how kids play, head falls first.

I have witness similar incident yesterday with my 10month old baby..I stood him inside an empty paint bucket preparing to bath him,he just bended to pick something,toppling from d bucket into a babybath 1/2full of water face in 1st, the saving grace was d bath water also toppled over as i rushed him,to God be d glory water did not get into his nostrils.... learning from incident i have ordered that no containers with water should be left in the house again forever.

CPR couldn't have saved this little lad. He must have fallen headfirst into the bucket and drowned within a matter of minutes. It wouldn't have taken up to two minutes before his lungs filled with water drowning him in the process. CPR comes in handy if ones body is deprived of oxygen and the reserved oxygen in the heart is pumped into the body.
