NO EASY ROAD TO GREATNESS

The road to greatness is filled with thistle and thorns. Threading along this road is the most herculean and tasking venture to undertake. Many withdraw even before they get started. The road is not for weaklings - it is for people with determined and resilient spirit.

Along the road to greatness are all manner of predators; their goal is to slit your throat and drink your blood. Stepping into this road without adequate preparation can be catastrophic; it can turn one into a cuckoo.

Along the road to greatness, you are ensnared by friends and foes. They are threatened by the mere thought that you're headed for the sky - they can't allow you beat their wit. You can't be the star boy. Your light has to be extinguished immediately.

The road to greatness is a necessary route that must be traversed regardless of its daunting encumbrances. The road to greatness is a boulevard of masquerades and evil spirits surrounded with a dusty and asphyxiating air but one must trudge-on with diligence and boldness. The weapons in this journey must include; honesty, character, faith, integrity, confidence and loyalty.

To reach the finish line, the mind, glued to its objective must commit the yearnings of the body into utter forgetfulness. This hunger can be a source of reckless distraction. The bellicose and whizzing sound of death, as it passesby must be courageously discountenanced till the engrossing valley dissipates like vapour.

The dawn offers the warmest celebration of victory - joy and laughter rings endlessly in the air. The mere mention of name heralds a thunderous ovation. Everybody is carried away in the melee of possessiveness. In this regard, the dark and harrowing past is buried in the bowel of history. Many will never know what it is your eyes have beheld. Only the courageous can achieve greatness!
