Nigeria has reclaimed its position as Africa’s top oil producer, according to the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC).

According to direct communication, Nigeria recorded 1.18 million barrels per day in December 2022, the highest level ever recorded in seven months, according to OPEC’s Oil Market Report for December 2022.

Nigeria produced $97 million worth of crude oil per day in November, or $3.09 billion (N1.33 trillion), based on the average price of $87 it averaged for the month.
