Mille: You clearly did not understand the data That 52.6 for NK was only for those in the Urban area...there was nothing for the rural because their rural areas lack electricity...so I am actually right when I said Nigeria is far far better than NK in access to electricity. Reuters is not a source of data when it comes to energy...I can also pull out source that disagree with you. Mille:Like I said even the countries people like you will classify have more electricity than Nigeria..there are places you don't get 5 hours of electricity in SA. Just now someone was shouting Nigeria my country just because writer posted news about Tanzania shutting down grid due to excess supply which does not translate to having 24-hour energy. 1 Like |

Jovi10: The ultimate enforcers of democracy are the citizens not the Govt. It's just easy for us to blame the US govt, when Americans have issues with the govt they take it up with the govt with one voice, but we expect the US govt to side with us against the FGN. Who does that? People we elected and gave power? Our problem isn't democracy or the Us govt, it is first us refusing to come as one and allowing major institutions to be captured by the few. The US isn't the FGN watchdog. 1 Like |

Tiopii: @bolded that's my point. but USA and the EU expect others to maintain the standards that they themselves cannot uphold. They expect their enemies to stand down and do nothing even as protests turn into riots, as sponsored "rebels" take up arms against governments. The funny thing is that there's no riot or violence going on, yet they are arresting and threatening students everywhere as if it's Uganda 2 Likes |

Jovi10: Politics is a game of interest, no permanent friends no permanent foes. Russia isn't doing anything, it is just bad governance by the leaders of those countries and Russia seems like the alternative to the US/EU. Let's see what they would gain by having closer ties with Russia. Let's see what Russia would bring to those countries that are seeming to want closer ties. Those leaders who invited Russia, are they doing it on behalf of the people or to protect themselves in power? The US would rather have Europe on lock down over Africa at the moment, and there are still significant portions of Africa aligned with the US. Russia is losing influence in former USSR republics, parts of Africa can't make up for that. 1 Like |

Tiopii: An agreement has already been reached to build nuclear reactors that will supply electricity to them which will make them stop being reliant on ours. Europe is losing bing time from Africa, Africa is very important to the world it's just we Africans that doesn't know our worth. This is a big blow to the USA they themselves have admitted it. So who are you to help them deny or defend the humiliation they are currently going through? 10 years ago how many countries would dare the USA aside China and Russia ? None but loot at it today nations all over the world have suddenly found their voice and can stand up to the USA and her allies knowing fully well they will be supported. Sanctions, regime change etc no longer works, the sooner the USA starts using true democracy and interes for both and not for them alone approach the better for them, but if they want to keep using force, it's not helping them in anyway. Even if Trump wins, if he still wants to play by the old books, America's influence will still keep deteriorating. 4 Likes 2 Shares |

Jovi10: It's a Nigerian problem. Until Nigerians are ready, we'd be stuck here. Atleast I have witnessed better govt in the past. We need good leaders and a responsive citizenry. The top economies in the World are majorly democracies. It is our practice of the system that is faulty. |

Jovi10: Is it US/EU fault we have bad electricity in Africa? What Russia is trying to do is replace western dependence with Eastern dependence, either way it isn't good for Africa. We have 54 countries in Africa, and a significant portion have strong ties with the US, the most powerful African nations actually. Russia's influence in Africa isn't as strong as you're hoping. Personally, Africa isn't ready for anything Nuclear, we are too unstable there are other safer alternative for electricity. Even Russia and China don't want war with the US/EU, you're misinformed on the power disparity between them. If the US/EU comes for any nation I can assure you, China and Russia won't get involved militarily. They barely have enough to defend themselves against NATO. Israel is a good example, what is Russia or China doing bout it? Nothing just condemnation here and there. And Israel is just an ally. The level of influence the US has, I can assure you, China or Russia won't get that level of influence even if the US crumbles. 1 Like |

Tiopii: There are hundreds of them all over Twitter. For understandable reasons, the Western media isn't giving them enough coverage. https://twitter.com/JoshuaPHilll/status/1783212867296374896/video/1 https://twitter.com/AbujomaaGaza/status/1781296834977169583/video/1 https://twitter.com/afshinrattansi/status/1782680720873296364/video/1 https://twitter.com/AiliaZehra/status/1782446261146177671/video/1 This one went there trying to provoke a reaction. Who in his right mind would do that in a violent, antisemitic protest as they call it? https://twitter.com/OnlinePalEng/status/1782756343738232837/mediaViewer?currentTweet=1782756343738232837¤tTweetUser=OnlinePalEng They are more peaceful than most protests I have seen but Western leaders are all dismissing them as antisemitic gathering, with Netanyahu suggesting that more should be done. Texas has already unleashed the police on them and many are being unjustly arrested and beaten. 1 Like

Balogunodua: I have been and still dealing with data in my work. I'll not misrepresent a data. Maybe you should go ahead and re-read the link. The 52.6 was for all of North Korea. There is no available data for both urban and rural areas. Now Reuters is not a good source despite them mentioning at least 5 good sources in the article. I'm waiting for your source that disagrees with me. Nigeria is a disgrace when it comes to basic human needs. Electricity, good roads, security, housing and water. It's even worse with our current man in Aso-rock as the country is currently in regression. As a Lagosian, I have had to apologize to everyone I promoted Tinubu to. I never imagined there will be anybody worse than Buhari but see how wrong I am. I need your proof of places in South Africa with less than 5 hours daily electricity. As far as I know, load-shedding in South Africa is in stages and has never gone beyond stage 8 so I need your evidence. I'm a Yoruba conservative myself but you're beginning to sound like an APC man. We have a Yoruba man as the minister of power. The city I stay in, he is more popular than even the president himself. It is now common for children as young as 5 to say "Ko ni da fun Adelabu".

"Europe must be ready to build relations with Russia after the end of the conflict in Ukraine, French President Emmanuel Macron said." Then I don’t understand what is going on? Azeri president said his country had never sent any weapons to Ukraine and they will never, but the pro Ukrainians claimed Azeri sent them weapons before. One country is shutting down some power plants due to excess supply while my own country can’t even power a state in Nigeria successfully. I don’t know why state governments don’t invest in power plants to ease that yeye federal plant. The Situation on the Southeastern Frontline of Ukraine has apparently gone worse with Ukrainian Defensive Lines reported to have occurred Overnight in the Donetsk Region after a Heavy Assault by Russian Mechanized Forces. 2 Likes 1 Share |

Tiopii: Let me stop you right there. Before you continue lying through your teeth. It's actually the opposite. They (US/NATO) came to Ukraine and we all know what happened next. Now they can't even get in through the front door because they're afraid of Russia. The top 4 most powerful African countries (militarily & economically) have stronger ties to Russia than the US. Egypt, Algeria, South Africa, Ethiopia etc. Egypt became Africa's most powerful military thanks to Russian weapons that it buys. Egypt even Turkey now have several Nuclear Power Plants, all thanks to Russia. Something the US would never do, not even for their so called NATO partner. 8 Likes 2 Shares |

Balogunodua: You're definitely an APC member. All you have done is deflect, deflect and deflect. I already mentioned 59.5 as Nigerian data for access to electricity. We are talking about North Korean numbers. Where is your screenshot of the North Korean numbers? Where is your source of 5 hours electricity in South Africa? Where is your source that disagrees with the Reuters North Korean data? Where is your source of the better and quality healthcare? Where is your source for the better roads? In your words, "That 52.6 for NK was only for those in the Urban area...there was nothing for the rural because their rural areas lack electricity". Where is your screenshot? Seems I have wasted my time. I thought I was debating with a patriot. You're sounding like a political zealot.

Tiopii: What exactly has Niger or Africa gained in all the years that it has been "friends" with the US? NOTHING!! They just come to your country, build a base that they'll even ask you to finance in the name of "American protection". While the country continues to languish in poverty. There's not a single country the US has stepped into that has become better until you kick them out. Instead they all became worse. Some of you are so gullible. There's nothing the US or the west gives to you that doesn't go back to them or used as a tool of control. iPhones, Starlink to monitor, track you and steal your information. Social media to control the populace and incite hatred against a government it doesn't like or wish to topple. Or to promote all sort of perversions, LGBTQ and homosexuality. Western crediting & financial platforms (Visa, Mastercard, SWIFT, IMF, World Bank) to control your money. Something they can take back at any time. It's all a Greek gift. 9 Likes |
