It therefore begs the question of "what importance" Iran is to either of Russia or China. Russia is already involved in her own battles in Ukraine, China doesn't want to establish global authority via military means but economic. They wouldn't want to risk that for anything, their market is very important to them. So it's not a question of how many allies they have that they cannot help Iran, but is it worth it?
