I believe it's the other way round. USA will never start a war with Iran, at least not now. Besides, Iran most likely already have have a secret nuclear weapon. Russia would have helped them to secretly build it. I guessed.

I think what USA is doing is distract Iran and keep them busy and on their toes so they won't have time to for their proxies, especially Houthis, their strongest proxy.

Destruction of Houthis is the main goal of USA this time. They have greatly disrupted global trade with their Red Sea blockade.
